Very nice gardens to wander through. They were lit by old fashioned street lights and it had snowed which made it even nicer. It was lovely to have a slow stroll in a quite area.

Established in 1469 by the Bernardine monks, this beautiful area is probably the oldest park and botanical garden in Vilnius. It’s located in the Old Town, on the right bank of the Vilnius River. Lots of park benches, which allow visitors to soak up the marvellous ambience!
Very easy to access as it’s just between Cathedral Square and St. Anne’s Church. Admission free.

It's a great park in the heart of the city. We've been here in the warmer months too - it's beautiful. In winter it's sometimes slippery, but still beautiful.

We walked in this park twice and I would have been here every day of our stay if our schedule permitted. Coffee nearby, lovely cafe, tennis matches to watch, carousel for children, fountains, flowers along well-tended paths, etc.

The Gardens were absolutely beautiful with many locations for one to sit and enjoy the surroundings....very quiet and peaceful.

One of my favourite places in Vilnius. The beautiful garden, with nice overgrown lawns, beautiful trees & flowers and the river. This is a place to go have a picnic in, to have a romantic walk in and just to hang out reading a book in. Watch locals stroll by, play with their kids. Enjoy the silence. Very, very nice.

A wonderful place to take a walk, sit in a quiet place, have a picnic. People are not in a hurry here, reading books, sitting on the grass, enjoying the weather.

The park is designed for a day stroll, and not much of a sitting park. There is less benches than there should be and all green areas are fences or hinted strongly not to enter. There is seating, but it is limited. It's a look, don't touch kind of park. For that reason it's not perfect, and its closes its gates at 10pm if I remember correctly. I know tourists who have been locked inside because guards don't really care to ensure the park is empty before closing it. In such cases hope the guard is still around or get your feet wet walking into the river and around the fence.

Nice place at any season for a Sunday walk or just to relax during the day. Large trees, beautiful flowers and the small Vilnia river flowing around.
