Great baroque church

A great example of the baroque style ideally located in the city center. For those interested in Catholic messes in the Polish language - there are a few every Sunday.

This is a very beautiful church in Old Town Vilnius. The frescoes and hand-carved artwork on the inside are stunning, and the facade is beautiful as well!

Another huge and beautiful church! Amazing architecture so it is a must to see. Not really allowed to take photos though but it works if you discreet ;)

But from the inside, this church will grace your eyes with beautiful Baroque styling, colours, statues and decorations. Apparently one of the biggest organs is located here, unfortunately (or fortunately) upon my visit it was surrounded by scaffolding for its upcoming maintenance. Keep an eye out in the entry foyer for the frescoes on the wall, very cool!

Quiet interior with interesting color schemes. I enjoyed the paintings as unique as they are throughout the various enclaves and main room. There was a construction crew inside working on clearing a stage off the floor which was quite distracting for a bit but they were fast and it became reverently quiet soon after.

The church dates back to the 14th century although it was rebuilt in later centuries. The interior is really nice and the exterior is fine but not as nice as its interior. There is a rock photo of Pope John Paul II on its wall on Dominikonu street.

it's not really necessary to see it from the inside if you don't have time. the view from the main road is quite good and the architecture is quite refreshing

... how strong faith can be. That's the main noticeable difference: what we see but specially what we don't see. And simplicity fits well in our hearts. Sit for a while, think, pray if you like. Observe the believers with prudence. Do you have the faintest idea how deep and strong their faith seems to be?
