I am originally from Vilnius, Lithuania, but my family and I live in Toronto, Canada. We were travelling to Vilnius for a visit this past November, and we all went to the museum. My grandparents, cousins, aunt, cousins, as this museum is suitable for all ages. This was such an amazing experience, I don't know where to begin. We were... More

City centre free but quite a small museum dedicated to the history of money in general and in Lithuania in particular. Get a free audio guide or a guided tour, remember the info and take the test on the PC at the back of the ground floor to have your own money printed )))

This place has few nice activities and we had a lot of fun there. Very modern place with just amazing friendly and funny staff. I'm wondering why didn't I come before. Maybe, because it sounds boring "money museum") - it's totally different from what i expected (like coins behind the glass:) yes, you can see it as well, but the... More

When something is free it always makes you doubt if it's worth or not. Well this museum is one of those I would have gladly paid to visit. In an interactive way it presents the story of currency as a concept, Lithuanian currency and other countries currencies by presenting samples and key information in both Lithuanian and English. After the... More

I had read about this on TRip Advisor, and had it as an add on, in case there was time. Very nice museum, indeed, and for free. Also suitable for kids! If you have free time, go there!

The museum is very nicely laid out with explanations in lithuanian and english, and actually a fascinating history of money from early history and onwards. I learned a lot during my visit! There was also an interactive fascinating presentation of european and world country monetary information on a huge screen, where you can choose country and move through your primary... More
