The castle itself is a beautiful old building. But the 'museum' had next-to-no information and it took me about 5 minutes to walk through. No information about the castle and it's historical importance. Disappointing.
Take a walk around the castle. It looks super at night when all the lights make it perfect object for any type of photo. Castle is almost at the old town where you find other atractions and restaurants with nice food. I suggest soul restaurant...More
The bottom of the castle has an old prison and some torture devices, my daughter really enjoyed the multimedia display. At the top, there's a rotating display, and she did an "archeological dig" while I was looking at the presentation.

Small but very interesting to visit, beautiful views and inexpensive. Recommended. A walk through the d town and then back for coffee make it viable whatever the weather. The park area would be a delight in summer.

The castle is not that cool - it's small and renovated - but the view of the rivers' confluence is. The park near the castle is green and calm and from there you can admire one of the most interesting murals of Kaunas.
