Small but very interesting to visit, beautiful views and inexpensive. Recommended. A walk through the d town and then back for coffee make it viable whatever the weather. The park area would be a delight in summer.

The castle is not that cool - it's small and renovated - but the view of the rivers' confluence is. The park near the castle is green and calm and from there you can admire one of the most interesting murals of Kaunas.
If you are traveling through and need a short break, this is a good one. The whole place is very compact. There is convenient parking close by. The views of the city are pretty. Climb down into the dungeons and up into the throne room....More
