Short but sweet
Aug 2019
A bit shorter than expected, but worth it. A small building, where the city executioner used to live.

Execution's home
Oct 2019
This is an odd looking house jutting out into the street leading up to the castle. The house dates back to the 16th century. According to local folk legend, it served as a town’s executioner's home as well as a prison during the 17th century. Looks okay.

Very good stories
Oct 2018
2 small rooms but full of authentic artefacts and the tour-guide was excellent - she was really knowledgable and deep dived with us into middle age through her stories that will just stay in my mind:)

Better than expected
Jun 2018 • Solo
After visiting castle and walking in the down town I still had a bit of time in Trencin and decided to visit Executioner's House. I was curious but didn't expect too much knowing how small it is. In the end it was very informative and enjoyable visit. I was the only visitor and got a private guided tour (for 1 EUR entrance fee only). The guide was sympathetic and friendly lady, very knowledgeable. I learned a lot not only about executioner's work and life but also about city's history. It made me to come back to the town and see it once again in different perspective. I truly recommend a visit.

During the winter month it is possible to see on my the exterior of the building as the museum facility is closed. But it is still very impressive building located just below the castle

House of the executioner
Aug 2017 • Family
This is the house of the executioner. Traditionally, to the executioner was not allowed to stay in the city, so its house was out ot the city walls. There is an important monument on the way to the castle.

Worth the 1 Euro Admission
Sep 2016 • Couples
This is a small house where the city executioner used to live. There is not a whole lot inside: some historical items on one floor and a photograph exhibition upstairs. The best and most interesting part of the visit was the short (about 10-15 minutes) description of the place and lives of executioners provided by the guide.

Interesting and scary
Jul 2016 • Family
Yes, this is real home where executioner lived once again. However, he was not only executioner but also controlled order in the town. Worth visiting (entrance is 1 Euro per adult). You will find there some interesting things like mechanism of the clocks that once operated on another local attraction - Mestska Veza.
Scary because as you imagine how many people were tortured and killed there... brrrr...
