Nice walk with water streams all the way up
Jul 2019
We walked all the way to the falls from Patria Hotel. It was a rainy day and we had to buy raincoats an the way. despite the weather, it was quite crowded. When we reached the top, we understood why. The falls are quite impressing!

Beautiful and so hard

Continuous moderate ascending for about 5 km to the waterfall, a very impressive one. Suitable for young children over age of 4 as long as they can walk by themself for about 10 km - not risky and the route is comfortable.

Great Experience

Did the hike several days ago. Go early; it's a popular hike with a steady stream of people. Also, the tourist info person said it often rains in the afternoon (which it did after I finished another hike the following day). Trail well marked with yellow on trees.

For me, the three hour time line from the trailhead was accurate. Add another 15 to 20 minutes each way if starting from train station.

As someone else wrote, the trail is full of stones and tree roots, so wear appropriate footware. And personally, I always carry rain gear whenever I am in the mountains.

Very crowded

Nice walk, but many many people there (in august, at least). We didn't have time for the round trips (yellow) but I think that would make for a lovely day of hiking.

Easy trip

The trip to the waterfall was easy. The path is full of stones and roots. It is harder to go to the top of the waterfall but the view from the top is awesome. Small kids must be brought and no chance for stroller

a very nice waterfall
Aug 2017 • Couples
Waterfall Skok offers a beautiful view of the water falling from the top of the mountains. It is the third highest waterfall (25 meters) in the High Tatras.
You will find it in Mlynická valley after about 1,5-hour hike from Štrbské Pleso by following the yellow tourist trail.

Beautiful and easily reachable waterfall
Jun 2017 • Friends
Skok waterfall is easily reachable from Strbske Pleso. The walk grants you with a nice mountain and river views, the path is not too difficult and is suitable for a nice family activity with small children. The walk takes approximately 1:30h and has no dangerous places on the way. You can also climb the waterfall and enjoy the view - and the lake that is on the top. You can get a nice meal on the way back at the Strbke Pleso restaurant.

Nice and easy walk
Aug 2016 • Couples
Vodopad Skok is outside the tourist resort of Strbske Pleso and is a slightly over an hour away. As for the tour there it is very easy and quite rewarding. It can easily be done with children as there is no dangerous terrain and you just need to take to usual precautions you would on any hiking tour (e.g. proper shoes, clothes, etc.).

There are very nice views throughout and the waterfall itself is quite nice, especially when it has enough water. If you are new to the Tatras or not interested in more demanding hikes or simply want to have a peak at the mountains this is one of the best tours to start with.
