We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Well, it's a tourist information centre with a lot of information on the region. The person on duty was very helpful and provided us with all the information we needed. They have affordable high-quality outdoors maps of the area for sale, too.

First port of call, the guy in there was very informative. He pointed us in the direction of the only cafe we found that did European type breakfast

Very good information office. You can also buy some tickets to cimena or another cultural actions. Location in the centre of the city. You can buy suvenirs, get brochures, maps, informations about atractive places nearby. You can also lend small historical car for children.

After getting information on accommodation options in Poprad, decided to travel on. There are no low-budget hostels/hotels like for instance in nearby Zakopane. Prices start at about 25€ for a single traveller (June 2024). Cheaper options in nearby villages are available, but without a car problematic to reach, even though public transportation is rather efficient.

It is possible to buy a map at the center (price 7.50€). Keep in mind that the Slovakian Tatras are generally much more expensive than the Polish side, except for perhaps public transportation.

The center has information mainly about the city. We couldn't get information about Slovakian paradise or the Tatras. Staff was OK.

Tourist information center in main square. If you are hear you probably do not require a map - since most sights are in the main square. A good place to get local knowledge on hill walking in Tatra mountains

My husband and I were in Poprad looking for relatives and Rusty, of the Tourist Information Center, was extremely helpful. He guided in our efforts and helped when we needed a translator. He was the perfect person to have managing a welcome center.

Not only were there some really impressive postcards (animals and mountains), there was advice and brochures in English. Very helpful.

The best tourist information office, I have seen in Slovakia so far !
Like any other information centers in Slovakia, this one too, operates as a souvenir shop as well, but the guy that works there, is very pleasant and happy to assist you.
Great information about the town and the whole area too.
