We stayed a few days in Poprad and sat at the modest fountain most days. Very popular with the locals to get an ice cream cone and sit near the fountain. Unfortunatly little shade when hot. The square has multible restaurants and a supermarket beside the church. The supermaket is superisingly big inside. Local basic Wine is great value - better than going to Billa or Kaufland near the railwayb station. At one end of the square is the new Shopping Mall called The Forum with C&A, H&M and Tesco with lots of specialised clothes shops. Big food court on the top floor for quick dining. Lots of different food styles to suite everyone. There is a butcher shop more or less opposite the tourist Information office

We visited several times during our stay in Poprad. The square holds a market every Thursday and Friday which lasts in to the late eveing. The atmosphere was amazing as we wandered around with the locals and other tourists. People were really friendly.
There are plenty of places to grab a drink or something to eat as well as some different shops.
It felt safe as Police are patrolling continually.

It is a walking area with lots of restaurants, cafe and shops. There is a church in the central part of the area and at the end you can find a Mall.

The proper town center of Poprad wasn’t particularly scenic. While colorful, if definitely wasn’t postcard image worthy. Church of St. Egidius is the one structure that stands out.

Even though it is quite small, it is very nice, and you can see some older buildings but also a lot of new ones. Here you can find a lot of shops, restaurants and bars. We went here on New Year's Eve. There were a few booth that served drinks and we drank a hot vine while waiting to see the fireworks. If you are in Poprad, you should visit this square.

Very nice, small, modern square. In summer months tourist train. Many places to have some drink or eat something. There are many concerts and another programmes through the summer on this square. Rarity is the beer pub with big barrel of beer outdoor. There is also small children playground here. There are 2 historical churches here.

There is a potencial to bee beautifull city center.
For me there are just too much displays of shops with cheap clothes, and other ads. They are ugly hanging from historical buildings. There are a lot of cafés and places to eat, shops for cheap, normal and expensive clothes.
Buildings are mostly historical, some of them are from 50years ago and few are new. In the center of square are two historical churches, belfry, fountains and patio between churches is in summer full of shows. Christmas decoration is just beautifull. On one side is museum and newly builded shopping centre.
