Less than a Euro to enter but not a lot to see. The photo from the ticket desk down the tunnel was more than enough. So saved a few cents.

All around Kosice you will find tiny sections of old stone work roped off but not until you visit the museum will you realise that the is the hidden Medieval walls. For a modest fee you can enter. Sadly their is a lack of information, which the museum could benefit from. But still worth a visit

Part of the original foundations of the city. Now with grills so they can be seen from above. Worth passing by.

When starting excavation for a new public project, the workers came across ruins upon digging. Further exploration dug up (get it?) even more. They took the opportunity to convert the underground discovery into an archaeological exhibit. Walk through the various chambers and get a sense of what things looked like several hundred years ago. Plus, it’s cool and dry down there. Recommended.

We visited this place to see the old town under the square. It was nothing so boring for everybody. We don't recommend it, except you are a student of archeology or something like that.

So many interesting places around, so many stories, building you can visit, but this one was a big mistake. Good for toilet, bad for visit. Sorry for low feedback but You have to make it much more interesting. Too boring, too cold, not goof...

The museum allows you to visit a part of the archeological excavations of Kosice's past gates and fortifications. It could easily be a very interesting visit, but I'm afraid I was left very, very disappointed. This is probably one of the worst museums I have visited. If anything, this museum is an exhibition of the communist era's poor execution of things.

After paying the very reasonable 90 cent entry fee and pointed towards the entrance by the disinterested teenagers selling tickets, I found that there was no introduction to the place or overview whatsoever. I entered not knowing what the museum was about and was still wondering a few minutes into my visit! Some introductory text with a drawing (or even a model) showing how the fortifications once looked, maybe through different periods, would have improved the museum tremendously. Instead, visitors are left trying very hard to visualise what on earth it's all about with the only aid of multilingual signs saying the most basic things like "Xth century wall towards moat". Maybe the museum managers should visit other museums elsewhere and learn how to improve, because the way it is now, the visit just left me angry over the missed potential.

Middle ages maze of Dolna (brana means GATE ) Brana. Fascinating huge excavation and lovely museum. Construction over centuries can be seen from underground. A rare sight and well done.

This is an underground museum consisting of remaining from the medieval time when the town was built. It represents water system then and indicated that it was a part of the city gates.

Just a step down on a main promenade for a quick tour gives a bit of knowledge about the Old Kosice.
