Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited the magnificent St Elizabeth Cathedral and behind it we saw this nice Chapel. It’s from 1380. In the past it was a cemetery chapel. It’s worth to visit this gothic St. Michael chapel and feel its special medieval atmosphere.

Sitting quietly and unassumingly next to Elizabeth's Cathedral is this little romantic building in the adjacent park. But pop in. This Gothic church is dedicated to the archangel Michael and stands on the site of the former cemetery and is the second oldest building in Kosice. The interior with it's vaulted ceilings and stained glass windows are worth a visit.

Most of Kosice's most famous buildings are clustered around this park and easily navigated on foot. This building is extremely photogenic.

You have to ask the staff of The Cathedral of St. Elisabeth to unlock this beautiful Gothic chapel but it is worth the trouble (and the entrance fee = 1 €)!

One of my evening walks took me to the area around the St. Elisabeth's Cathedral, which is impressive enough but nearby is the beautiful, medieval St. Michael's Chapel.

It is easy for tourists coming to Košice to miss this chapel, try to be the ones that take a look at this rare and beautiful Chapel.

In a literal shadow of St. Elisabeth's Cathedral, medieval St. Michael's Chapel is often forgotten by tourists of Košice. Renovated in 2006, the treasures of the Chapel can be seen again, including frescoes and the tombstones, as it was originally used as a cemetary chapel for the old city of Cassovia. It is good to check the opening hours in the nearby tourist center or with tour guides of the neighbouring Cathedral.

This is a very nice building dating back to the 14th century but was never open during my six days in Kosice which was a shame. It makes a nice picture in front of the cathedral and a good landmark.

We were unable to go in but the outside is attractive and it is a very short step from the Cathedral.
