Beautiful facade !
Oct 2019
Its frontal architecture is pleasant to see. It is situated in the main street of the city. Easy to find.

Far From Drab
May 2019 • Couples
I read a 'Trip Advisor' review, which described this city as drab. Clearly the person who wrote the review never looked at the amazing Art Nouveau buildings dotted around. The Town Hall is not Art Nouveau, but built in a Classic style with Baroque elements. The front of the building is decorated with a coat of arms of the city. It is also home to the visitors centre

Imposing building
May 2019 • Family
Worth a couple of pictures when passing by on the walk around the historical district. Really attractive facade and of importance to the towns history.

Beautiful Town Hall
Oct 2017 • Business
One of my evening walks took me again for a walk along Hlavna Passing its many resturants and shops, I took some further time to admire this proud Town Hall and its beauty.

Unhelpful and unwelcoming
Nov 2016 • Solo
This review applies to the Visitor Centre container in the building.I have sent emails to the Visitor Centre there and most were ignored: basic questions like how to book local attractions and how to get to the airport. I note that the centre is not busy as it is low season; I have been inside to see. Among other things their website is misleadingly advertising the Welcome Kosice Card all over its website. However when I visited the centre on Monday I was told both bluntly and rudely that the card had been withdrawn three months ago. When I told her she didn't seem to care one iota. I have received warm and kind hospitality in Kosice but this was the most unwelcoming for an office of tourism.

OK building containing helpful Visitor Centre
Oct 2016 • Solo
The building is a nice piece of architecture but basically the only reason for going inside is to pay a visit to the Kosice Visitor Centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful and sell many souvenirs. A good place to start if in Kosice Old Town.

surprise
May 2016 • Couples
I saw people heading through a door and up stairs and wondered where they were going. This building isn't big, but a quick walk through is set up perfectly. There are bilingual signs for each room, as well as directional arrows telling you where to go next. Very pretty rooms, a nice chance to learn more history.

Flying visit
Apr 2015
We spent a week in Kosice recently and really enjoyed spending time on the main boulevard there. Surrounded by cafes and historic buildings that are absolutely stunning.
Stray just a few streets away however and the beauty is stripped away to fairly ugly, coldwar era buildings. An area with such polar styles and history is very interested nontheless

Best of Slovakia
Sep 2015 • Friends
Many would probably think that Bratislava is number one, as the capital city. Honestly, so did I until my visit to Kosice. The old town is simply not to be missed, with all the attractions it provides, the rich cultural life, the buildings, the singing fountain, the beer places and great restaurants.
