About
The Old Market Hall is a historical building dating from 1910, which serves as an urban meeting point. The venue offers food markets and cultural events. The food markets take place every Saturday, from 10:00 am till 3:00 pm. The sellers are carefully selected, being mostly producers and farmers offering their own products ranging from fresh seasonal vegetables and fruits, dairy and meat products to bakery goods and sweets. However, there are also few small entrepreneurs who offer quality food products from abroad, such as olive oil, ground coffee, tea etc. The food markets are often accompanied by various types of flea markets and other special activities. Situated in the building are also a grocery shop, a cooking school, a soda water manufacture and two coffeehouses. One of them has a children's playground, the other one employs homeless people.

- CMC670 contributionsOld Market Hall, Bratislava in JuneCame here for the farmers market on the Saturday to grab some bits to eat at hotel. Was some really nice food, we bought mostly bakery goods and a bag of salad which was washed and ready to eat. Coffee was also good. At the back next to the coffee place a lady was selling smoked and unsmoked sheeps cheese, I recommend trying this.Visited June 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 10 July 2023

It was a relatively small market doing what these markets normally do, selling the normal items and ware. It was just an average market but it was in a lovely building designed by Eiffel.Visited February 2023Written 7 April 2023

On the day we visited it was turned into a convention for robotics. Lots of school children being inspired. Designed by Eiffel. So many buildings we have seen on our travels down the Danube. He was very popular!

The Old Market Hall is a nice place to pop in to, to get out of the cold and enjoy one of the many food trucks, or browse the many items for sale on the second level. I think everyone will enjoy a visit here to soak in the cool vibes and the warmth of the building.

Nice and warm market hall. When we visited there were lots of stalls selling local delicacies and Slovakian wine. Very friendly and cosy atmosphere. Located near historic part of town.

Went there on a Saturday morning as recommended by our local host and we enjoyed it.
Lots of stalls selling food, drinks, sweets and at affordable prices. Place is very family and pet friendly, clean bathrooms too.
Definitely worth checking out whenever an event is happening

This is a cool old building with quite a few spaces for vendors, and hosts a number of sales throughout the year. Very near Old Town, and often worth a visit if anything is happening. In the front of the building, street food festivals happen fairly often.

The building is nice. We visited with friends on Saturday and tasted the lical wines, homemade bread and cheese. Very friendly atmosphere...it closes on 15.00. You can buy wine, herbs, homemade breads and books. It is in the center.
