Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you like castles, then do not miss this one. Huge with long hallways. Flower beds and authentic pieces all over.

Built in 1760, this sumptuous house was a sought-after venue for aristocratic society events. The palace is now the official residence of the President of the Slovak Republic.

This is the White House of Slovakia. It is the official residence of the President of Slovakia. The current President is Zuzana Čaputová. She was elected in 2019.The palace was originally constructed as a rococo summer palace in 1760 for the chairman of the Hungarian Royal Chamber and advisor to Empress Maria Theresa, Count Anton Grassalkovich. The palace was intended to be used as an entertainment venue. Over the years, it has seen many balls and musical parties thrown by the Habsburg royals for the upper class. Franz Joseph Haydn, a famed Austrian composer debuted some of his works here. He made his career as a court musician of the elite. He was a mentor to Beethoven and a friend of Mozart. The palace is only open once a year in June. You can take a stroll through the French-style gardens behind the palace every day from dawn to dusk. It is situated at Hodžovo Square, between the Old Town and the main train station.

Located just a short walk from the centre of Bratislava and although you can't tour the presidential palace the place is quite picturesque and worthy of a photo stop. The fountain at the front is quite cooling on what for us was a hot summers day and if you visit at 12 you will be able to witness the changing of the guard.
Throughout the year certain events are held in and around the building and to the rear is a pleasant garden, along one side of which is a row plaques with the names of every president of Slovakia.
The gardens are quite plain and lack any kind of floral display.
Worth a couple of hours of anyone's time.

This is the resident to the current president of Slovakia. It is a beautiful white Palace with a potentially a beautiful garden. I visited during the winter so there were the garden was a bit tall so I could just imagine how beautiful it is during the summer months. At the time of my visit there was not much happening, just a cold and dreary day, which didn't take away from the beauty of the castle.

Fun outing just outside of the city center, to see the changing of the guard. I believe it was at 12:00pm. You could climb up to see the Slavin monument while you are in this part of town.

It is not the most exciting or elaborate 'changing of the guard' I've seen in my travels, but something to add to your list of things to do in Bratislava.

As we only had a few hours in Bratislava, we didn't see much. Arriving by train, we walked a short distance to the Presidential Palace. The palace itself wasn't open to the public, however, the gardens, to the rear were. The palace itself looked very impressive, and well maintained. This was in contrast to the surrounding buildings, which looked a little tired.
Take the No93 Bus from the railway station, and you're there in 2 minutes!

Beautiful, huge palace with a lot of flags, home to the president of Slovakia. The interior is not open to the public. Nice globe fountain in front of the palace. Located about minutes walk from the old town. There is a large garden behind it, nothing special with a fountain without water and no flowers at all, not worth a visit to the garden.

I just walked around the palace and in the gardens. Unfortunately the fountains were not functioning because I’m sure they looked beautiful. It was very peaceful in the garden especially since there weren’t many people around on a crisp April morning.

The presidential palace is the official residence of the President of Slovakia. When I visited in October, the whole facade was covered and there was little to see. So I can only rate it like I see it.

Slovacchia is a very beautiful country. Bratislava is the capital, a very nice city. A lot of attractions, in my picture you could appreciate the Presidential Palace (Baroque style).
