Little Blue Church in Bratislava
Dec 2019
The church of St. Elizabeth, better known as The Little Blue Church, is located in the Old Town. It is built in the Hungarian Art Nouveau style.... and it really is all blue, different shades of blue. It is only open around Mass times, 6 am and 6 pm, but the impressive interior can be seen through the gate. There is also an interesting secondary school next to the church, built by the same architect. Well worth a visit!

Small but Impressive Church
Nov 2019
Bratislava may not be your top list of destination but its location just for you to dropby or transit in between Budapest and Vienna. This small church having its unique outlook covered with blue color ( also known as Blue Church ) located within residential area but due to its unique outlook you'll able to see it within eyesight. If you taking buses to Bratislava then this church its within walking distance around 10-15min.

Beautiful blue church
Nov 2019 • Couples
Lovely blue church aka church of St Elisabeth. Well sign posted we found this easily enough. Apart from service days the church is closed but it is possible to see inside from the porch to get a view. Even though we couldn't get inside we spend around 20 minutes taking photos through the bars and around the outside.

Very beautiful church and well worth the walk.

"Blue Church" - the most beautiful Art-Nouveau building in Bratislava
Jun 2019
A copy of the church is in Mini-Europe in Brussels, representing Slovakia, and that says it all! The Church of Saint Elizabeth or the Blue Church as it is known to tourists due to the color of the facade, was built in 1909-1913 in Art Nouveau style, becoming one of the most attractive Nouveau buildings in Bratislava. Being designed by architect Ödön Lechner, the church impresses with both exterior and interior architecture, both of which are painted in light blue; even the roof is made of blue ceramic!

Love the blue church despite only seeing it from outside. One of the most beautiful buildings in Bratislava. Some compared this with Gaudi’s work in Barcelona. The Spanish might beg to differ haha

Beautiful church.
Dec 2018 • Friends
We are currently staying in the superb Hotel Danubia Gate and the stunning Church And Convent Of St Elizabeth is only a short walk and is one of many stunning looking churches in this most beautiful of cities.
Built between 1739 and 1745 in the beautiful Baroque style of architecture that is so pleasing on the eye, the church looks very similar to the many churches we encountered in Vienna but it was designed by renowned architect Franz Anton Pilgram who hailed from Vienna.
The church was not open the few times we've passed it but the facade looks awesome and makes for some great photographic opportunities.
Easy to locare on Špitálska and well worth checking out

Stunning church, amazing frescos & altar
Nov 2018 • Couples
The inside of this church is stunning, the frescos, the paintings are just wow. When you walk in, the long view of the ceiling and altar before you is amazing (see pics).

I particularly like the wooden cherubs carved into the church pews (see pic) and this theme continues on all the church benches. The outside of the church is so plain, almost like a hidden gem inside a plain building.
