Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We all loved the white water rafting experience. The two ladies on the reception were so lovely and even went out of there way to arrange our transport back into Bratislava due to our organisational skills lacking somewhat.
The instructor was very good in English and helped us have an extremely fun time. All the equipment was provided, it was extremely professional and would definitely recommend anyone to have a go and book to use the facilities here if near by

Thanks again for a great afternoon

The wild water Rafting experience at Cunovo is perfect for everyone who wants to add some adrenalin boosts to his weekend. If you have never been into wild water stream before, I recommend taking 1-3 swim-throughs before the actual raft. The stream is pretty strong and in case you fall out of the raft, later on, you will be somehow used to the power of the stream.

Enjoyable experience and great fun for a sunny day. They coped well with a large group. We got to raft down 3 times in the hour or so that we had, the only downside was having to carry our raft to the top again. The facilities in some areas seemed in the process of refurbishment but overall facilities were good and in working order.

Interesting place to visit south of Bratislava. Even when no competition there are usually people practicing. They also offer rafting for groups, and there is an artificial wave for surfers at the end of one of the courses with a surf shack doing snacks and drinks. Plenty of parking with overflow car park across the road when needed. Hotel on site and a very good restaunt/bar in a marquee and tables in the open air. Buses from the City stop outside the main entrance. I go there often.

Great fun, does what it says on the tin really. Some of the lads that had rafted before said it was pretty wild. 30 of us and they handled it well, getting 4 runs in total and they have a very funny selection of re-entry techniques that breaks things up a little. To be critical? The whole place feels pretty tired, the guide mentioned that the flow control on the rapids was broken (in a tone that said 'and it wont get fixed) and there is a conveyer lift that clearly hasn't worked for some time meaning you carry the rafts back to the top. Other notes, there is a smashed up truck in the carpark and other rammel laying about the grounds. This doesn't effect the experience at all, just worth a mention that the complex itself feels quite tired.

For most Indians and me, it was a first hand experience in rafting, canoeing, etc those days which were not very popular in India.

It was 1.5hrs white-water rafting fun. We managed to slide it 3 times, but it was exhausting. Be ready for a lot of water, lot of paddling and most likely some swimming :-)

Also known as "Areal Divoka Voda", this is a sports activity centre 30 minutes' drive from Bratislava. It comprises an hotel and a spread of water-based sports activities, together with quad bikes, horses, beach volleyball courts, a bar and restaurant. Set on an island in the Danube closing one end of the Gabcikova Dam, it has nice views over lakes and countryside.
On the water, my teenagers loved jet-skiing and the centre's main attraction, white-water rafting. They also went quad biking. We had a great day. The instructors were friendly and caring, spoke some English, and did their best to help the boys experience everything to the full. The rafting is in the dam overspill channels, which really offer white water and are nicely designed to challenge. They are used by the Slovak Canoeing Team for practice and by visiting teams.
Our only problem was actually organising the day. The web site (www.divokavoda.sk) is in English as well as Slovak, German and Hungarian, but was not intuitive. In the end, one of the Centre's Event Managers, Mr Oruzinsky, helped us and set everything up for us. We discovered that the site is set up primarily to offer an event-filled day or week to corporate team-building activitities, so it has all the requisite facilities. Management is very happy to organise for families (our experience), however, and for school parties or any groups, large and small. You will need to plan your visit at least a couple of days beforehand and, because it is not really set up for tourism, you need to avoid the weekends; the instructors are not there then. You could enjoy a couple of days there, staying overnight in the hotel or the cabins.
It's not cheap, but that is alright, as it means the equipment and facilities are all clean and in good condition. The site was affected by the April 2013 flooding. Some lakeside activities still look a bit mud-swamped, but the organisers have got everything working fine and in general everything is back to normal.
Obviously you will need to take swimming things. Old shoes and clothes that will get soaked are useful.
