We were on our way from the bus stop Zochova to Old Town and this building attracted our attention due to its yellow and concave facade, something different from other churches we've visited before.

We did not enter as the Sunday Mass service was being performed but managed a peek to see a beautiful baroque interior.

However the notice on the door stated that self historical tour is available between 3.00 and 5.00pm on Sundays.

The Trinitarian Church or Church of Saint John of Matha and Saint Felix of Valois is a Baroque style church in the north part of the Old Town of Bratislava. The exterior is mostly plain mix of terracotta and yellow colours that belies the decorative elements of the interior. The interior is dominated by the large high altar depicting St. John of Matha and St. Felix of Valois ransoming prisoners from Turkish capture.

The church has restricted opening hours, so do check the times before visiting.

Just outside the old town if you are entering through St. Michael's Gate, you can stop for a (quick or not) visit.

Kostol Trinitarov was built in mid-18th Century, it is situated in Hurbanovo námestie and has dominance in the square. The main feature is the baroque frontage which is quite distinctive and an imposing piece of architecture. The church is on the edge of the Old Town and close to Michael's Gate and worth seeking out whilst in Bratislava.

During our recent recent visit to Bratislava, we managed to visit a handful of churches including the Trinitarian Church (Kostol Trinitarov), also known as St. John Matha, located at Hurban Square, just outside the main city center, near St Micheal's Gate.

We enjoyed our quick visit to the Trinitarian Church 1717-1725), finding the elaborate interior, attractive dome ceiling frescos and various paintings quite indicative of churches designed in High Baroque fashion. We also like the attractive facade of this church. The half-circle curve shape of the front of the building makes it really stick out in contract to the surrounding buildings.

Overall, we enjoyed a short and quick visit to the Trinitarian Church, finding ti similar to the Elizabethan Monastery Church not far away. Other interesting church visits we found during this trip to Bratislava were the interesting Blue Church and the impressive St. Martins Cathedral.

Nice church that was built in the first half of the 18th century in Baroque style at the site of a former church.

Bratislava is home to many churches (most cities in Europe are) and Kostol Trinitarov is a fine example of the workmanship put into the construction of these buildings.

From the outside, the church looks like any other church that you will find around, a baroque design, colourful, simple for the most part. The inside reveals the extravagance of the time with walls covered in marvel, statues and paintings; giving you the sense of awe as you enjoy your stay. The acoustics of the building are amazing as well, any small sound will be projected easily across the empty room.

The church isn't far away from St Michaels, so plan your walk around to visit as much as possible the other attractions.

Now... is this a most watch church?

Honestly, I wouldn't go out of my way to just visit this church. To me, very few churches/temples give me the sense of awe to go and visit them and I thought the blue church (St Elizabeth?) was more interesting, but I am not a great church tourist, so take my review with a grain of salt.

Now, if you are already visiting St Michaels, I would definitely stop to check out the church of a few minutes, covering most of the attractions around, as there is plenty to see.
