We were on our way from the bus stop Zochova to Old Town and this building attracted our attention due to its yellow and concave facade, something different from other churches we've visited before.

We did not enter as the Sunday Mass service was being performed but managed a peek to see a beautiful baroque interior.

However the notice on the door stated that self historical tour is available between 3.00 and 5.00pm on Sundays.

The official name of the church is the Church of Saint John of Matha and Saint Felix of Valois. However, due to its association with the monastic Trinitarian Order, it has become commonly known as the Holy Trinity Church. Located near Bratislava's Old Town, it was built in the Baroque Style.

The design of the church emphasizes space and light, its design thought to be influenced by St. Peter's Church in Vienna. Outside, the main portal is richly decorated in Rococo style, celebrating the Holy Trinity. Inside, the arch of the church is dominated by a cupola with "trompe-l'oeil" frescoes, which is an art technique that uses realistic imagery to create the optical illusion that the depicted objects exist in three dimensions.

The church consists of a massive main altar and several side altars. Look upward at the inner cupola and you will find a blue and red cross, the symbol of the Trinitarian Order. The main work of art is the large altar painting depicting St. John of Matha and St. Felix of Valois, the two founders of the Trinitarian Order. To either side of the main altar are large statue of St. Agnes on the left, and St. Catherine of Alexandra on the right.

There is much to see in this richly decorated parish church, so take the time to look around!

The Trinitarian Church or Church of Saint John of Matha and Saint Felix of Valois is a Baroque style church in the north part of the Old Town of Bratislava. The exterior is mostly plain mix of terracotta and yellow colours that belies the decorative elements of the interior. The interior is dominated by the large high altar depicting St. John of Matha and St. Felix of Valois ransoming prisoners from Turkish capture.

The church has restricted opening hours, so do check the times before visiting.

From the outside, it doesn't look like much. On the inside it's grand though, with lots of intricate detailing that justify heading inside

A lovely church, where a service had ended, located towards the Old Town. Worth taking some time to take a visit inside.

Kostol Trinitarov is a beautiful 18th century church located on the busy Hurban Square.
I've read a few reviewers postings about this being a rather shabby and not to pretty church but me personally i think it looks superb,it's got history and a lovely facade and the interior is interesting, the church makes for some great photographic opportunities.
The square this church is located is rather plain ,not really that much to see other than the church except a few nice bars and cafes but the church itself easily makes up for the rather plain area of Bratislava.
Easy to locate on Zupne Námestie.
