Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We walked from Bratislava old town to the TV tower in the forest. All uphill, and took probably longer than it should have (about 1.5hours)but worth it. Felt refreshing, with some great views along the way. We had foggy weather, which wasn't the best, mainly as the views from the TV tower were not fantastic! Would highly recommend the walk on a nice day.

We had a lovely day out in the forest. From Bratislava town, we go the number 1 tram and then the 203 bus. As it was Saturday, there was also a 144 bus doing an additional shuttle up the hill, which we were grateful of. All for 3.5 euros (24 hour ticket). At the top there is a little summer bobsleigh run which was great fun, 3 euros a go. From there we went up to the chairlift (open Thursday to Sunday) and had a peaceful trip down the hill. At the bottom, we walked along the river and round the lake. Then back up the chairlift to the top, then a 5 minute walk to the TV tower. We had lunch in the brasserie at the top which had stunning views. There were lots of off and on road cyclists enjoying the forest as well as walkers. There were also people climbing between the trees on ropes.

For friends, families or couple, enormous park, green, clean and with several routes to walk and ride bike. Different places to eat local food and chill. There is a bus that brings you to a highest place if you don’t want to walk. In our case we went by bike and the ride was very nice, hard at some points so check always your itinerary first. A must in Bratislava!

The park is very lovely and nice to walk in but we tried out the bobsleigh attraction which we shouldn’t have done!!

The security is at minimum, they should really close it down! The guy who held the safety instruction for us (!!!) went in full speed after me and crashed into my sleigh. I took it really slow since the guy at the cashier told me to do so!

I got a broken nail and a sore back, but it could have gotten way worse! The only compensation we got was our money back which was 6 euros.

Do NOT try this out, I’ve gone I bobsleighs before and the security has been so much higher then. They should really take it down.

The Forest Park is an excellent and accessible day trip from Bratislava. Most guides will tell you to hop on the 212 and get off at the bottom of the hill by the lakes (Zelezna Studnicka). It's then a 30 minute walk to the chairlift (say another 20 minutes on that to the top).

However for those who want to get a little further up the hill to begin with, you can take the number 30 bus (catch it from Most SNP in town - under the UFO bridge on the Old Town side). Get off the 30 at Patronka and wait for the 43. The 43 runs right through the park, past the Chair Lift, (Lanovka if memory serves - but you'll see it easily enough) and on to the top, (Lesopark), where the chair lift arrives and a two minute walk from the tower.

For those wanting to eat at the tower restaurant there you'll need a reservation. But the cafe (one floor up) serves good food and drink and has fine views. The local food and drink huts outside are actually all very good as well (simple but delicious food/drink) and all very cheap.

The forest itself is crisscrossed with dozens of paths. I'd recommend taking the chair lift up (For the experience of it) and then walking back down through the trees, past the lakes down to Zelezna Studnicka to take the 212 or 43/30 back to town.

One final piece of advice for bus travellers. You can buy multiple tickets as Most SNP. They don't become valid until you scan them on the bus. So buy two singles for your trip. This way when you get on for your return you'll have your ticket ready to do (and won't have to worry about finding a machine - which are somewhat sparse in the park).

We visited this Forest a few days ago, I can say it is marvellous, lots of trails and paths to choose from and all surrounded by trees and small rivers which they lead to a large lake :) It was chilly but if you dress correctly you can enjoy this place.

Spent a few hours walking here, escaping the city. Nice play park, place to get a coffee. Would love to come in the summer when the cable car is open.

Have you just visited Bratislava and would you like to spend some time in the beautiful countryside? Only a few minutes and you can take a walk in the woods.
At the end of trolleybus 203, get off and walk away. It is a popular place for citizens and visitors of Bratislava. There is a bobsleigh track for children and adults, dominant of Bratislava - sightseeing tower kamzík with caké and restaurant, chairlift and mountain biking trail. There are buffets.Pleasant relaxation zone. I highly recommend you visit :)

The forest is an exceptional nature park with his fingertips reaching Bratislava and trails reach all the way to the mountains. The multitude trails create an everlasting trail network where you can go every day and see something new and explore a new trail, twist and turn.it is all one could hope for in a forest and more. The playground, trampolines, rowboats, coffee shops and restaurants, workout equipment is all fantastic. One could easily spend a whole day there. Do you live in the city this is something you have to go to at least quarterly.
