The castle compound is very big and the exhibition photo explains the history of Slovakia. Very impressive medieval structure, and there was cave structure inside the area. A 4th century church as worship place. Only small cost to visit the place.

We reached Devin castle by river. It was a nice leisurely way to reach the castle. There are cheaper ways to get there such as bus but we opted for the 20 euro boat ride. The castle itself is beautifully set along the river and...More

From Bratislava catch the 29 bus from the Most SNP (UFO bridge )(the road not the actual bus station). In Devín walk in the direction of the bus for about 100m and turn left. Although largely ruined there is plenty to see and there are...More

This castle is a ruin but it has stunning views from the top above. We can see both Danube and Morava rivers from the top. It’s worth a visit and do not forget to enjoy a beer or wine around there :)

Nice time outside from the busy city of Bratislava. Relaxed time, nice views. Small tip: try the blackberry wine at the parking in front.

Wasn't sure if it was worth the trip but I definitely was, lovely place to explore and although there's plenty of steps it's not that difficult, nice restaurant outside the gate too.

Hi, I'm not sure if you can book in advance but it any case it's never that busy. The ticket booth was empty when we went mid morning and will only take you a minute or so to buy tickets. Enjoy!
