We had bought a combi ticket so decided to visit it as had some time- such a great idea! You can climb to top of Bell tower and get amazing views within the city! The museum starts off with religious artefacts, but gets more interesting...More

The museum was full of interesting artefacts in a historical building. The items have been really well laid out and labelled. Everything is described in Slovak and English and some of the staff also speak English. A native English speaker had obviously done the translations...More

We bought a combined ticket for the Town Hall (City Museum) and Viticulture / Historical Interiors museum next door. Although this is only EUR 2 more expensive the former was worth it whilst the latter wasn't. Inside you get a nice view of the castle,...More

Very interesting pieces of art, tools and artefacts. Some of the pieces are just magnificent pieces of art, the embroidery and detail of some objects are fabulous. Slovakia is a historically rich and Bratislava has an interesting heritage, the architecture, the sculptures. The building itself...More

A small quirky museum but entirely worth the 5 euro entry for the view from the top. It looks down into the main square and out over the historic centre.

Most tourist see the outside of the City Museum on one of the walking tours of the Old Town, as it is both historic and photogenic, but relatively few appear to venture inside. If you have an interest in the city's history then it is...More

Museum shows some history, but average, nothing special, quite high price relative. But good to see.

Although they spoke very little English the staff were kind and helpful, showing us the location of lift. The museum opened at 10.00, but appeared to close at 11.45. Exhibits were well presented and plaques for each room(in English)were concise and helpful. The audiophones were...More
