Impressive modern bridge crossing the Danube, Novy Most in local language. It is a single arch bridge with an upper floor reserved for cars and a lower floor for bicycles and pedestrians. On the right side of the river there is a high steel and reinforced concrete tower on top of which there is a restaurant.

Beautiful modern bridge over the Danube. Worthy of photos, it ends up on a futuristic UFO that is actually a restaurant. The bridge actually connects the two banks of the Danube, the old city and the industrial area. There is also a pedestrian part

There is a bridge that goes to what the locals call UFOs. It's an old architecture that goes above the Dunay river. On the side of the bridge small vendors sell Cashtany for a few Euros. It's a Slovak fall tradition. They are warm and sweet in taste.

New Bridge (Novy Most) is the first surprise that greets you as you travel to the center of old Bratislava. Its remarkable silhouette over the Danube immediately attracts attention. Modern and impressive, the bridge is one of the symbols of the city.

You can get there by bus number 50 směr Kukučínova. The bus stop is right by the bridge. Under the bridge is "Cvíčko" outdoor gym with free machines and skate park. It's a nice short cut when don't want to use transportation around the city.

An engineering feat built by the Russians. It’s an easy walk across on a walkway below the auto traffic level of the bridge so you don’t have to worry about cars whizzing by. Great views of the Bratislava skyline from the other side. If you're so inclined you can ride to the top of the UFO tower for even better views.

Pretty sure that this bridge is officially called Most SNP or colloquially the UFO Bridge, but was named Nový Most between 1993 to 2012. It’s basically a road and pedestrian bridge over the River Danube, linking the Old Town with the south bank. I was pretty impressed with the bridge. At 303 metres, it’s the world's longest bridge to have only one pylon and one cable-stayed plane. The colloquial name comes from the saucer shaped tower (which you can go up) on the southern end of the bridge.
Worth a look, but I wouldn’t go out of the way to see it.

Most SNP is probably one of the more memorable bridges in Bratislava because of the UFO Tower which is based on the southern section of the bridge, it is notable because the observation deck is shaped like a flying saucer. The bridge was opened in August 1972 but as a consequence most of the Jewish Quarter was demolished to create the highway that led to the bridge. Both Most SNP and UFO Tower are worth visiting whilst in the city.

Interestingly, Novy Most (New Bridge), which crosses the Danube River, isn't actually new at all, having been constructed in the late 1960s to early 1970s.
Apparently it is the longest cable-stayed bridges in the world to have one pylon and one cable-stayed plane but it seems to be most famous for hosting the oddly shaped structure, locally known as the UFO Tower and Observation Deck. There is a restaurant at the top of the structure as well, although we didn't visit during our stay in Bratislava.
We best enjoyed views of the bridge and observation deck from the Bratislava Castle area, which afforded nice vantage points of both structures. As the city center is quite small, you are bond to see the bridge and the UFO structure at some (if not many) points during your visit to the city.

The building of the New Bridge, now the SNP bridge, tore down a synagogue and very many Old Town buildings. The traffic is now causing problems for the Coronation Cathedral (St Martin's). Adjacent to the pedestrian subway is the memorial to those who perished in The Holocaust as well as those who suffered racial violence.
