A place you must visit, but we found the castle museum to be a little disappointing, unless you like plenty of rooms with portraits of people you've never heard of (some of the painting were not that good either). The building itself is very impressive and you realise that there has been a lot of restoration work done.

Cashier was wholly corrupt, forcing me to pay 8 euros for a ticket that, I now see online, was only 3 euros. The castle was a disappointment, with the 1st floor being solely devoted to one of its frequent conferences. The Celtic exhibition in the basement consisted of only a few pieces, and the other floors of the castle were... More

It's not old moldy. Recently rebuilt but tower has a real good view. Celtic basement museum interesting for half an hour or so.

We did not actually go in the castle. I was a little disappointed to discover it is not the original but instead was built in the 1950s. Nevertheless, the view from the castle grounds of the Danube river and of the old town section of the city is well-worth the climb up to the castle.

We did not go to see the museum but enjoyed walking around the outside of the area where there is a park and easy access. The views... More

The castle is free to get in, and is accessible from a few different uphill walks from the old town. The views are pretty good as the castle sits above everything over looking the Danube, however the castle itself is a little disappointing as it's fairly modern having been rebuilt after burning to the ground. Worth a walk for the... More

The main, impressive castle of Bratislava, capital of Slovakia. Build with 4 corners, on an isolated rocky hill of Little Carpathians, directly above the Danube, provide excellent views of Bratislava and Danube.

The view of the city is lovely from the Castle grounds. The beautiful, well trimmed gardens is a must see too.

The castle looks solid from afar but when you reach the it you will be impressive of the refreshing view of Bratislava, the greenery and the river. Go around the castle and spend 1 hr atleast of walking visiting their garden and the mini forest they have. Overall, a plain castle but worth a visit because it's just relaxing to... More
