Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We took the boat back from Bratislava to Vienna. Amazing sunset and moonrise. Beautiful trip! Plus Bratislava was a lot of fun.

We took the Hydrofoil. Yes we paid extra for Captain's Lounge. It was fine, nice seats, space. People downstairs did wonder up, little annoying, but stay chilled and its fine. Scenery not what the romantics expect , but a great and quick way to travel to Bratislava, which was brilliant. We got the train back 14 Euro's. That was spot on. We also got bus to Devin Castle. Cost 1 Euro each way. Bus stop over road from boat stop. Bought tickets from Tourist Information place. Great 20 minute bus trip, got to see Outer Bratislava . Worth doing on local bus

So Hydrofoil- Bus to Devlin Castle- go round old town- Sample local street food- Train back to vienna- Great day, Great places

Very enjoyable way to travel between Bratislava and Vienna. Thoroughly recommended. Much better than a bus or a train.

We got the train from Bratislava to Vienna and planned to return via the Danube River boat service. On arrival at Vienna station we asked at the information office where to get the boat and how often it operated. We were told roughly every hour. After a great day enjoying Vienna we went to the terminal about 4pm to be told the boat only runs once per day this time of year, 9am. So we got the train back to Bratislava. Having just read the other reviews here I think we did ok.

Excellent full-day boat trip on the Danube river including three meals on the boat, very relaxing and perfect for couples. The starting point, however, was not clear and it was difficult to figure out. The language is German with very little English

nice way to travel, more expensive than the train, by a way, but an experience.
like most river, canal trips , the scenery isn't stunning, as you are below landline, but nontheles, if you haven't done it before, worth doing it once.

i was told that the best way to go from Vienna to Bratislava was the hydrofoil.
well. ok, its pretty quick, but all you tend to see is the riverbank all the way.You do see a mountain range as you near Bratislava but thats about the most exitement you get.
for my money, take the train.

hydrofoil is a high speed boat (40km/h) - it takes a lot of people for its size and that's why you cannot move freely because all seats are assigned seats and outside is very windy because of high speed.

We traveled this way from Vienna to Bratislava because we wanted to enjoy the view of Danube. We enjoyed it very much, but we would have enjoy it more if we had come a little earlier and gone window seating. However, get on the board can make up for that part.
