I love it. It is great experience. They use a quality sesame oil. The
indian masseuses are experienced and know what they do. I love the rest after massage in the relax room with great tea. They took care of me like a queen:) I recommend it. Wish luck.

Forget about those Thai girls all over. I booked the 90 Minutes Ayurvedic Oil Massage and got a real maestro from Kerala. Thank you for that flight.

Firstly, I must comment on a previous December review and state how wrong could you be! If you do not do any research you could be disappointed, but only because of a lack of understanding that this is an Ayurvedic massage / spa facility. It is very different. It is worth googling first and looking at the treatments they offer to ensure you have the most appropriate for you. The oils are unusual, in western terms, more intense in smell, but extremely moisturising for a dry skin. The therapists are both excellent, from Kerala, where this practice is used to benefit your health and well-being. The areas are softly lit by candles, relaxation room is super too, you don’t want to move afterwards! The treatments work towards balancing you, so they are quite different, but if you enjoy massage it’s a very authentic experience, even down to the traditional beds you are massaged on, designed that way so that the oil can run off! The showers have curtains to pull across so ignore the poor, unjustified review! There can be a cross over with the next massage, but there are towels to cover up with. There are body washes and shampoos, in a little basket to the right of the lockers! First rate place and service, I went with my Mother, about 5-6 times over a few days, well priced and brilliant!

I spent 2 relaxing hours there. Very helpful staff and experienced therapists. The large, spacious interior allows you to cool down after a massage with no rush. I recommend it if you want to completely relax.

Wow. I cannot understand the reviews here. I wish I had read the bad comment some guy posted here. Horrible expeience. I literally got up in the middle of the massage. Maybe some people like this torture and call it a massage. Ayurvedic? You lay down on a block of wood with no place for your face, so you need to tilt your head to one side. You come with pain of some sort hoping to get it relieved while you leave much worse because your neck shouldn’t ever be in this position for a prolonged period. The “massage” is dumping oil that smells like curry on your body in enormous quantities and rubbing it on you. Zero therapy here unless you like a crazy ton of oil gently rubbed on you. Then the showers. When I finally gave up on waiting for the real massage to start, I headed to the shower to get this nasty stuff off me. Not clean, no privacy, no soap (shampoo, conditioner) and no place for the shower head. So I attempted to rid the oil off me and the whole room flooded because there is no shower door. So I spent the rest of my time trying to clean up the mess with towels. Worst spa experience of my life.

Me and my husband turned up without an appointment and they accomodated us great. Massages were great and you can tell well experienced.
Mark also helped my husband with touristy things to do and booked our tickets for the ice hockey .
Also reasonably priced

The manager made arrangement for me to have a massage at a very short notice. It is my first time to have an Ayurvedic massage, I really enjoyed it! The masseuse was great and thorough, the herbal oil is warm and it feels great. After the treatment there’s a room for relaxing and shower facility.

If you like yoga and meditation, have quite a lot of time to spare; and don’t mind taking a shower after the treatment; I highly recommend it. I would definitely come back if I revisit Bratislava.

I don't write bad reviews very often, but I need to do so in this case. The place smelled more like an Indian restaurant than a spa. The tea that they offered was scalding hot. My wife and I both got massages, and we both hated them. It seemed like both people weren't really trained in how to give massages. When lying on our stomachs, there was no opening for us to put our faces, and it was SO uncomfortable! At one point, he asked me to sit up and then he massaged my back. Again, not comfortable - I had to focus just to be able to stay on the table.

We went here because we saw so many good reviews on TripAdvisor. I can't understand it at all...

I am sorry Lukethrume that you and your wife didn't like ayurvedic treatments in ayurvedic environment, but our work is professional and we do follow ayurvedic principles, our therapists are well trained in panchakarma therapies, we use proper ayurvedic massage tables and valuable and healing ayurvedic massage oil imported from India. The typical smell (of ayurvedic oils and ayurveda center) and the typical massage tables are just part of ayuveda. I can understand you didnt like ayurvedic treatments with all the things you have listed, but we have brought ayurveda to Slovakia 10 years ago and DO provide real and authentic ayurvedic treatments. Thanks for response anyway, probably different type of massages would be more pleasant to your taste. Take care. Miriam/Darsana

It was my first time at Ayurveda center. Unfortunately not in SriLanka or India but the visit surpassed my expectations.
The Darsana place you can find in the Bratislava city center. You can not park here but there but there are various parking possibilities max. 5-10 minutes from this place. The building is old but the interior was clean and nice. No as warm as I would expect but nice.
You get the bathrobe and slippers. Females are treated by female masseurs and males are treated by male masseurs.
I took the 3 day spacial back treatment and after those 3 days I felt much better. The first day the masseur check my back and I got the oil head massage - that is something amazing and everyone has to try it. Than for next 2 days the masseur focused on my back. Pressure massage with hot herb bags was warming and absolutely relaxing.

I came.to Bratislava a year ago and a Slovak friend made me.discover Darsana. This time I am here for a weekend exclusively for the treatments. Darsana.is a must for anyone who likes ayurvedic treatments or simply loves his/her body. The Indian staff is very skillful, the place is clean and everyone is very friendly. Your body will be greatful to you - you owe it this treat! Be prepared to get vzry oily all.over. As far as I know an ayurveduc doctor is around as well.
For the massages - book in advance espzcially if you come in couples.
