Our small group of three had an absolutely fantastic time out on the water today!
Our guide made sure to recommend us some lovely places to go and she was wonderfully patient and understanding with an anxious member of our group. Couldn’t have asked for a better day out

Wow! What a fantastic experience and I would 100% recommend this as a must do activity when visting Bratislava.
From before our activity even started the kayaking guide couldn't have been moe helpful and his English was fantastic. About 20minutes before our start time we recieved a call (which we missed) and then a text checking we were ok finding the place. I replied that we were on our way and a few minutes later our guide appeared next to us and let us hop in the back of his vehicle to get there.
Once we were there and or things were away our guide explained clearly how to kayak (we were total first timers!) and ran through the safety instructions. We had time to sit in the kayaks and practise before heading off to the water. Both of use were a bit nervous about the masive canal boats sharing the river with us, but this was not an issue at all - they couldn't come near us as the water was too shallow.
We walked down to the waters edge, got into the kayaks and off we went for a short practise circle. Our guie followed closely giving us really helpful pointers and lots of encouragement.
After our practise we headed off down the river to a little part off the side. Our guide stayed with us and even explained all of the local sights as we travelled. He took lots and lots of photos for us and we receved these via email the same evening.
I am so glad we chose this trip! I would definately do it again if we were to come back! and to top it off...we didn't fall in!! :)

A great trip on the Danube. Easy to find and helpful pre event information. Peter was very helpful and informative and providedgood instructions. Very friendly club with changing facilities and lockers. Decent kayaks and life jackets provided.

Great kayak experience on the Danube. The guide was good with some interesting facts about landmarks on the riverbank! He was happy to ask any questions about Bratislava. Place to leave belongings/ change andwas greeted with a coffees

The kayaking was brilliant, we saw beautiful views of the city and the some lovely peaceful nature spots! The guide Peter was knowledgable and gave us a good safety briefing beforehand. He also took lots of great photos of us during the trip. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fun activity in Bratislava.

We started in the morning for this tour, the place is a bit hard to find so keep a few minutes in hand to be there in time. Our tour guide was Katarina, she was very friendly and helpful. She gave us a few tips before we started and as both myself and my partner are beginners she was patient with all our questions until we were sure.
We started upstream of Danube first which was a difficult task but that was the hardest bit. We then kayaked downstream and could enjoy the views while making sure not to steer away from the coast. We kayaked for a little over two hours, it was a fun way of exploring the city and locate the landmarks while trying not to topple over. Our guide brought us back to the shore a few times when we were swayed into the center by the strong currents. It was overall great fun!!

My girlfriend and I took a trip together to Budapest for the wedding of one of our mutual friends. On one of our free days, we took a train to Slovakia, to go kayaking on the Danube river. Onjrej, our guide, was absolutely perfect. He was very knowledgeable of the area, sharing local history along our tour, and made our time with him feel safe and comfortable. This little visit was a bit impromptu, but it was the highlight of our trip. Highly recommended.

Hi Katarina.
I would like to organize in june a 2 days canoe trip (including camping) with 5-6 friends at max 2h from bratislava. Idealy if possible in a river where we can do some jumps.
Do you organize this kind of trip ?
We all have cars.
As well is there any possibility to do canyoning in sk ?

thank you for contacting us.
Due to corona restrictions the camp sites are closed, but it is possible to sleep outdoors. We have more options for a 2 day trip. One is to go to Bodicke ramena, wich is more like expedition kind of trip and ideal to do on sea kayaks. The other option would be Litte Danube, which is more relaxed also possible on canoes.
Unfortunately canyoning is not possible in Slovakia, since our rivers are not in canyons, but mostly in open valleys, specially those near Bratislava.
It would be ideal if you could contact me directly since we do not offer trips like these on Tripadvisor. I should not be providing you with our direct contact, but if you search for skiing(dot)sk you should be able to find it.
