Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Got the boat from Bratislava to Vienna on a lovely sunny day. Easy to book the tickets online. Beautiful journey. Tip: we paid for the most expensive seats but it was pointless as we stood on deck the whole way. Book the cheap seats!!

Trip by Twin City Liner it was very good, but the bus ride was not as I imagined. I was expecting something better.

Travelled from Bratislava on the Twin City Liner, to stay in Vienna - what a great way to travel ! Friendly & helpful staff, comfortable seating & great views, the whole journey taking around 90 minutes up the Danube. Would recommend to anyone.

Only 1.5 hours on boat from Bratislava to Vienna.
Plenty of room for luggage.
Spacious boat with light refreshments, comfortable seats, lots of windows to see the views, friendly staff.
Lots of woods but look out for Devin castle at edge of Slovakia, fishing huts, lovely old town in Austria. The boat has a commentary at points of interest.
Main issue was lack of information about getting a taxi once in Vienna which we needed as we had luggage - go out of boat and turn left up the ramp, then cross road to your right and in front of you is a taxi rank.

I used this service as my transportation from Bratislava to Vienna. I spent a day in Bratislava and booked a one way ticket for the 18:30 boat. Obviously, it takes a little longer than the train, but it was a great alternative to see the scenery along the way. They have luggage storage on the boat, as well as drinks and snacks for sale. The schedule was exactly as advertised and I had no problems on either end of the trip.

We used the service to go from Vienna to Bratislava and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The ferry was clean, quiet and reasonably priced. The service from the staff was good and the facilities were great, ie the toilets. It was interesting to see the land each side of the Danube - there was a national park on one side which had what looked like fishing cabins intermittently spread along. I would recommend this as a way to get between the two cities.

We took a tour to Bratislava and this was our way to return to Vienna. We arrived at the dock early and enjoyed sitting on the Danube drinking and eating from their restaurant. We highly recommend their marinated cheese!

The boat itself was very clean and well organized. Once underway we were able to go to the back deck and enjoy the river. We saw several castles and barges and lots of beautiful scenery.

The trip to Vienna is quick (about an hour) and very nice. My wife slept all the way back. We were dropped off at the city pier where there are plenty of shops and restaurants.

We loved this boat ride!

Trip and the ship are excellent. Yes, it’s as twice expensive as others companies providing this kind of trips. But this ship is quite new, fast, silent and with perfect services. It will take you to the center of Wien. Just one thing. Do not buy “lego” model of the ship. It’s a over priced crap. Everything else is perfect.

Basically in 1 hour and half trip from Bratislava to Vienna you can’t use the toilet although the toilet is there and there’s no sign saying that you cannot use it. My girlfriend needed urgently to use the toilet and a member of twin city liner came aggressively to her saying to go and get back to her seat for safety??? I thought at least on a boat which costs 38 euro would be ok to use toilet. Never again

This is the best way to enjoy a day trip to Vienna if you are staying in Bratislava. The boat is new and very comfortable with everything you need. You board the boat a five minute walk from the old town, and it drops you in central Vienna, five minutes from the cathedral and all the main sights.

If you are a senior (from any country in the world) you can get a huge discount if you travel on a Tuesday - seat reduced to 20 Euros from 35 Euros.
