Our tour guide was Miro whom conducted the tour in English, one of his three (or was that four?) fluent languages. We stopped at four establishments sampling traditional breakfast, lunch, honey's and desserts w/coffee. The excellent meal samples and Bratislava historical building highlights were woven together in Miro's enlightening commentary. He happily answered specific historical and cultural questions while taking us through the core of old town and making recommendations of things to see and do while in Bratislava. We very much enjoyed this tour and am confident that you will as well.

I am slovak living for a long time outside Slovakia, and wanted to show to my "multicultural" family some of our slovak specialities without having translate all the names of the food etc. on our visit to Bratislava. We have been walked by a very sympatic guide through the old town of Bratislava with some stops trying some of slovak specialities. Being slovak I have to say that the choice made by them was really good, and it gives you a very good idea about the slovak kitchen. After some almost 3 hours spent in the city we were very happy with the result of the tour and with the knowledge of ouor tour guide. If you'd like to learn Slovakia by your stomach, it's definitely the tour you shouldn't miss. I'll probably repeat it in the future with the other part of my family :-)

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 hour tour through the lovely Old Town of Bratislava, it was probably the best thing we did during our stay. There was a great variety of food offered over the 5 or so stops of the tour. There was a good mix of sweet and savoury dishes, with everything from the traditional potato and sheep milk dumplings to hot chocolate with chestnut to flavoured honeys. It was very well organised, every waiter / waitress seemed to know about the tour and the food was presented well and promptly, and it was all delicious! There was a lot of food too, maybe too much for some, but not for us. We were certainly stuffed at the end of the tour so definitely do t eat breakfast beforehand! It was also nice to have a local guide with us telling us some things about the area and the history also. I must admit that, as we had done the walking tour the day before, a fair bit of this was repeated but that was no problem. It is possible to make purchases at the several shops along the stop, so make sure you have a bit of spending money with you also as there are a few goodies to buy also along the way! All in all, it was a very enjoyable few hours. Our guide was also very nice and helpful in assisting with the overall plans for our stay in Bratislava. Highly recommend this excellent value tour if you want a less touristy, more authentic Bratislavan experience.
