About
Slovak national collection of wines is a little treasure hidden in historical Museum of viticulture. You can taste or buy 100 top slovakian wines in one place. We are very happy to meet people from the whole world, who have never heard of slovakian wines and are very surprised of its high quality. Slovakia is a country of white wines. We have a huge tradition in wine making and getting recognition worldwide - 84 medals from Paris, 32 medals from Brussels, the entire champion of the berry wine competition in New York and list goes on. But it is better to come and try yourself :)

Best Wine Tasting Cave In The World
Dec 2019 • Couples
Fantastic wines. Allow 1.5 hours to taste 8 wines. They will not rush you. Very knowledgeable Sommeliers. In the cellar; 72 wines on display. Wines that are extraordinary, which you must buy to take home. Slovakia’s wines are not exported to the USA.

Wow. So many delicious award wining wines
Dec 2019 • Business
We stumbled upon a this place after doing a tour in apponyi house. Basically a huge wine cellar in a beautiful setting that offer wine tasting at incredible prices. Option to taste 72 wine in 100 mins for 32 euro. Obviously a taste not half a glass if you want to do them all - but it was self pour so you could do whatever you wanted really. What an experience and the woman we met who worked there was incredibly helpful and friendly. A definite thing to do in Bratislava if you love wine + option of cheese boards too

Wine culture to be studied and admired
Nov 2019
History of mankind cannot be full if you ignore one of the most attractive human pleasures. I mean wine, of course. Enter the museum and choose the path throughout vineyards of Slovakia tasting their best wine. My favourite is unoaked red and I liked the wine made in Mrva and Stanko winery. Cheers!

Hidden under the Palace Art Hotel!
Nov 2019
An amazing selection of Slovakian wine apparatus in the cellars of this chateau which belonged to the Palffy family in former days. There are some massive wooden casks and more!. An interesting self-tour through the cellars and then, of course, there is the opportunity to taste and buy their famous wines. The chateau can also be visited but only on a tour and there is the hotel on site as well.

Helo Serena but you have probably visited Zamok Simak in Pezinok, Slovak National collection of wines is in Apponnyi palace in Bratislava, offering guided wine tasting of 100 top slovak wines. The castle you visited is a different place , just to make it clear but you are more than welcomed in our Wine Salon in Apponnyi palace in Bratislava :)

Best wine tasting venue in Bratislava
Aug 2019
My spouse and I stopped in the afternoon after a long morning of sightseeing. It was a perfect spot. I had been to the Slovak Republic many years ago on business and was impressed then with their wines. This visit confirmed my opinion they have some of the best wines in the world. The staff was great - our host was a South African lady who came to the Slovak Republic via a stay in London. Unfortunately cannot rememeber her name. Above our expectations. Recommend anybody who visits Bratislava must visit this! Prices were great. Met a Canadian who was half way through the 72 taste program and he was still standing. Most impressive is that each taste was not a sip - in some restaurants that's a full glass serving. Location is perfect - I the middle of old town so it's a short walk from the hotels.

Sample 72 wines in 100 minutes
May 2019 • Couples
I can't understand why this isn't more popular -- it was the highlight of our time in Bratislava, and we had the entire place to ourselves. One hundred of the best Slovakian wines (mostly white) are here, housed inside a beautiful stone cellar, and for €23 you can sample 72 of them.

You're left to your own devices, but all the wines have informative little signs next to them. They also offer guided tastings if you want more info, and you can buy wine by the bottle. The last tasting starts at 5. Definitely make time to check it out while in Bratislava!

What A Wonderful Place to Sample Wine
Apr 2019 • Couples
We are so pleased that we chose this tour. It had a slight add on fee of $49.00 each, which is nothing compared to what we use to pay on Silversea for excursions. We tasted delicious wines in a fabulous wine cellar. Every wine was presented by a very knowledgeable, friendly staff. Our group was small so we were able to ask questions, and drink wine in a very relaxed, unhurried atmosphere. It was great. They say they have the top 100 Slovak wines. They were great. Glad we did this tour.

Wine tasting
Mar 2019 • Couples
Visited as part of the Old Town Hall museum package. The ladies upstairs don’t seem to know what’s going on in the wine cellar, as there was a private tasting in progress, and we had to return an hour later.

Martin the sommelier was excellent, as was the quality of his wines. Barely any are exported, mostly consumed at home. It really was a revelation.

Highly recommended!

Great Wine
Sep 2018
Apponyi palac offers great choices of wine and a variety of them to choose from. The prices are comparably good, there is a nice atmosphere and staff are friendly and polite. Being in Slovakia, there will be plenty of Slovak speaking patrons but if one does not mind in mingling with them, that is a good place to visit the next time when you are there :)

Very Fun & Educational Experience
Sep 2018 • Couples
We did the 4-wine tasting, letting our hostess pick the wines for us. Michaela, who is in marketing, was substituting for the sommelier that day, and she did a fantastic job. We learned about the wine industry and regions in Slovakia, tasted some great wines, and even left with a couple of purchases. We particularly liked the red Dunaj, and the story behind it. And we got to observe one of the "72 wines in 100 minutes customers." A great way to spend a couple of hours in Bratislava. Thank you, Michaela, for making our afternoon so special.
