The view is wonderful. However the ticket to "museum' is overpriced, there are some small rooms with hardly anything to see. When wanting to enter the wax "museum" we were told to come back later because a larger group is inside. We had very little...More

Walking the grounds and the cathedral was visually exciting, as there were lots of beautiful architectural details to take in. The views from atop the dome to the surrounding countryside and the Danube River were spectacular. We strolled through the adorable and quaint town. Seemed...More

It's more the surondings and the road which make the place. The castle is not the most formidable, but its location towering over the Danube Bend is gorgeous.

The weather was good and it was beautiful landscape from the castle to the Danube and the mountains. The prices are reasonable. Parking is an issue when the parking lot iss full. You have to take a long walk, not highly recommended in bad weather,...More

I absolutely loved it- the view, the museum, the walk. It is totally worth seeing! There's a little fee you pay for the ticket, but believe me it's worth every penny. I was there on a sunny day - the views were just unbelievable!

I give it an average rating as it was nothing spectacular. It is worth going to as there are some great views. If you are in the area, go, but don't go out of your way to go here.

I visited during February when the attraction is closed, you can still walk to the castle and admire the fantastic views, I would love to visit when it is open in the summer.

This castle was once the home of King of Austria - Hungary empire during 16th century. It has all the depictions of the past in for of wax museum. A must go when you are around visegrad.

Firstly, I was unbelievably windy and -5C with a enormous wind chill so this had to be something special ... and it was. A truly remarkable artifact of Crusades, heathens and medieval politics with views over the Danube valley that will live with us forever....More

Are Royal Palace and Citadel different ? I saw entrance tkt to Palace is 1100 HUF and to Citadel 1400 HUF. Is tkt to Citadel for climbing the tower or just for entry ? Also, what is price of mini bus ticket to g up the hill to the Palace/Citadel ? One visitor said it is 2500 HUF ?
