Zoo is not so big. Can finish in less than 2hours. The animals look very healthy & well kept. When we visited we were only 12~15 people of which 7 were us. Being nov & cold weather some animals were kept inside the closed room.

Very cozy zoo. Not too big so you can walk with a smaller child in 3 hours. I recommend this one hour show to anyone with a family, it's really interesting.

Absolutely amazing zoo, not many people can say they’ve stroked a Capybara! You get to go really up close to the animals like nowhere I’ve ever been before. The zoo was very good value we spent over 3 hours there and it cost about £15 for an adult and a child. Great zoo, especially the walk through areas :)

I visited the Gyor Zoo with my family. We have not been there for around 7-8 years, so the change was amazing for us, as I (unfortunately) have not heard about the reconstruction/renovation in the zoo. We were delighted by the cleanliness, the easy access to animals, the animal show and petting (owl, pigs, llama). THere is contruction ongoing but for us this was not annoying. We especially adored the open wood at the original area of the Vadaspark (Wild Park) where we could feed the animals who were curious enough to come to us and liked our petting as well.
However, I was surprised to see the condition of the only horse we saw, at the back of the zoo. It was very sad, very thin - I hope it is only a temporary illness!

I visited the Zoo together with my girlfriend. There are many kinds of animals kept there. Buth the most exciting of all was the animals display organized by the Zoo as kind of the show where the visitors had the possibility to actually interact with the animals.

I love going to zoos but this one wasn't really a nice one. I guess the timing of our visit was bad. We went there in March, and it seemed the whole zoo was under reconstruction. There were only few visitors. We didn't see many animals, actually in some enclosures there were no animals but cars and excavators... We wanted to experience the contact zoo and feed the giraffes. However we didn't even get to see the giraffes...there was only one place where you could get some snacks or drinks... To conclude, the animals we saw were nice but the zoo itself was not in a good condition for a visit. We were quite disappointed. So before you go, check what the zoo can really offer you.

An excellent zoo and well worth a visit. The admission price is very low compared to a lot of zoos and you can touch the animals. Wife was bitten by a lemma which was a little funny (don't tell her that) and they're doing a lot of building work which is a bit of a let down but it's definitely worth a visit.

Very few zoos would let you this close to some of the animals. Small zoo overall, but the kids loved it!

Nice, relatively small, but very well kept Zoo close to the city. You can walk around in ap.2 hours and children can spend some more time in the play park. They organize time to time late evening openings and Haloween parties as well. It is a good family program with younger kids.

Last weekend we spent a lovely time in Hungary. 5 of us, me, Lubica and 3 children of our own. We decided to visit Gyor, nice and clean town close to Slovak border. First day we spent in Termal aqua park, good and very nice. However for young fellows, sometimes difficult. Next day we visited Zoo. And what surprise! Zoo is not the big one but cute indeed. Very nice personel, animals are pretty close and many opportunities to have fun for kids! We spent there half a day, relaxing and full of nice memories. If you visit Gyor, this is a must!
