The beautiful Baroque monument was erected in 1731 on the orders of the Hungarian Monarch as conciliation for the damage to the holy sacrament during the capture of a fugitive soldier by the King's troops.
The monument consists of statues of angels carrying the ark. The angels standing on a beautifully decorated base. On top of the ark is a replica golden monstrance (which was destroyed during the scuffle) with a golden lamb inside it.
It is one of the most beautiful Baroque monuments in the city and is definitely worth a visit.
