Great way how to cross a border! The bridge itself is nice and offers even better views of the town and castle! Crazy it took so many years to built it again...

Most especially since you can travel freely among EU nations - there is no longer a line waiting for customs officials. Enjoy going across for even grocery shopping - their sausages are excellent.

... and the danube. We enjoyed our walk on the bridge. The bridge itself is not spectacular although it has the novelty factor of being on the border. The view over to the basilica is the best you'll ever get! Lovely!

Not sure why this is an attraction. It is just a bridge that goes across the Danube? Nothing special whatsoever.

In Sturovo says, that the nicest view to the basilica is from the river bank. I think nicest is from the bridge. The walk is prity nice, maybe 10 min. long, but you can take some pictures from here and it is worth for it.

If you want to cross over to Slovakia by car this is an easy way to do it. It's fun that there are signs for each country depending on which direction you are in. You should stop right after the bridge and take pictures of the Basilica across the water.

Easy to cross either on foot or by car! You can have a coffee close to the bridge on a boat on the river and enjoy a great view on the bridge and Esztergom Basilica. Very nice!

I enjoyed walking over the bridge to Slovakia. It offered great views of Esztergom and the cathedral in particular.

The most interesting thing about it, if you aren't an architect or an engineer, is that you start off in one country and end in another. Cf. the Oresund Bridge or the Channel Tunnel. Apart from that the breeze can be pleasant on a hot day, there's a wonderful view of the river and river-traffic below, and the sheer straightforward... More
