Vasarely exhibition closed for a month whilst it’s being shown in Madrid. Bizarre thing to do. Temporary exhibition of obscure artist(s) looked pretentious so didn’t bother.

The exhibition is very informative, following the periods in Vasarely’s work. How he exploited the potential of geometric shapes and color graphics options, how prisms are alternating the drawings, and how can he fit these alterations into his work? Finally, how he became the father...More

I was surprised to find such a beautiful place and perfectly curated exhibition there. You will discover a real top-class presentation of Vasarely's amazing works. A real joy for the mind and especially for the eyes. Space and oeuvre are wonderfully put together to give...More

OK, this museum isn't in the city center, but it's worth the "travel" to the Óbuda quarter. The museum is in one of the wings of this fabulous Zichy mansion. The atmosphere in the museum is extraordinary. This 18th-century building creates an interesting paradox with...More

This museum has reopened after some restorative work. The displays are excellent, the art is visually appealing, Vasarely's story is interesting as well. Interesting to see his development for early days to maturity. The museum is a bit hard to get to, but worth the...More

You must check out the virtual reality exhibit. It is visual feast. Take your time to explore the optical effects of each work of art.

This is one of those museum dedicated to a single artist, in this case Victor Vasarely. There are others (Clyfford Still in Denver comes to mind). Don't worry about the artists ego. These museums have unique access to works by the artists, in this case...More

It was a scorching hot day and we decided to hide in the shadow of this museum. I am not big fan of museums but one has a special vibe. Complexity of geometrical firms creating stunning 3D effects. I spent couple of hours enjoying this...More
