I really love Lukacs Baths for a few reasons; temperature of the pools is perfect for me and there is a great steam room. It feels like a good cross between the Gellert and Rudas. I go to Budapest often and also ways put this...More

What a wonderful experience at this thermal bath!!! The buildings were super clean, the clients were very respectful of each other, the atmosphere was indeed very mature and intentional. No horseplay or obnoxious clients like other baths in the area. No crazy crowds to fight,...More

What we experienced was quite different from those bad reviews about this place. The staff were helpful and friendly, definitely able to converse in English. However, it is true that most signs are in Hungarian but they did try to include some English words, locker...More

My husband and I walked across the bridge to visit Lukacs as it was free entry with the Budapest Card (which is a poor value). I loved that it is an old fashion, medicinal, thermal bath that central Europe is famous for. Hungarians get prescriptions...More

we hesitated before going there because it sounds not so attractive. but once we were there, the natural clean water touched me. The facility is all-around and staff there are friendly and helpful though some don’t speak English. Love this thermo baths and Hungarian people.

A nice little bath with rumoured healing water. Possibly one of the oldest bath sites in Budapest, dating back to the Roman era in some form or another. Today it is off a similar décor to szechenyi, but is by no means as grand or...More

We visited the lukacs baths over the tourist ones. We found that it was alright. Was hard to find where the spas and the pools where. Took around 5 minutes. Had to have a shower cap to swim in the colder pools. Managed to get...More

Rudas would be my first choice , then Gellert, both gave wonderful massages . Each is a very different experience - try to make time to do both and Please be advised to book massages in advance.
