What a gorgeous place. When we visited we had bright blue skies and snow was still scattered on the ground. We took a flask full of tea and drank it as we walked around. Gorgeous

This is not a very old building 19/20th c, but looks as if it was built part after part, century after century - each in different style. It is surrounded by a pound which in winter is turned into skate rink! Situated in a big...More

Worth seeing if up in the park. The castle itself is rather interesting in it's style that is a little eclectic with different styling and colors used for different parts of the castle.

It's a mix of arquitectural styles, but nonetheless, amazing castle. You'll find there a statue of Bela Lugosi (Dracula - original movie). The place is charming and in it's grounds you'll find fair, with many good things to eat and drink.

Very beautiful massive castle takes a good 10/15 mins to walk around it at the top you have a spectacular view of Buda side. I recommend anyone to go once it’s free don’t get the tour except explore it yourself!

Impressive Castle, visited in February when the Ice Rink was in action close by. Fantastic scenery and plenty of opportunities for some fantastic photo's.

That we call Vajdahunyad Castle, is a complex of different ages and different parts of Hungary. Ignác Alpár designed this exciting mix and built onto Széchenyi Island of Városliget Lake. It was planned for the 1896 Millenium Ceremony and the purpose of it, to represent...More

We just walked around and enjoyed this reconstruction of a typical central European castle. The park surrounding is lovely so we highly recommend it.

This is a really beautiful castle and you can pay to climb the towers, due to time constraints we could not wait for a tour so only climbed the smaller tower which is self guided and cheap to do (about £2) The views of the...More

This is a great looking Castle but not what you would really expect a castle to look like. Very picturesque, although it looks like two different styles? Its set in a nice park with other building close by and Hero square only 5 mins walk.

It must be possible... Gates are open. No guards. No tickets. No security. The tour is all free. People walking around freely. And wedding photos must be free/possible too (I assume, I guess).

You can book the tower tours as you enter the museum (although I would not bother with the gate tower as there is really not much to see). We just went and paid for what we wanted on the day and there was no problem with... More
