Take a hike up to the Citadel and you're treated to incredible views the whole way up. There are great displays outside with pictures from the past and information about its history.

Glad we got off our Hop on bus. Leisurely stroll lots of photo opportunities. Couple of restaurants which looked busy manageable by walking but better to use buses to save time and energy

We were glad our HOHO Big Bus had a stop here couldn't have walked up that hill. The sights of Budapest below were wonderful and a lovely stroll around the Citadel on a beautifully clear and warm day. One of the Budapest musts.

Getting the bus to the citadel is well worth the effort as the views over Budapest and the Danube are stunning - just have to wait your turn to get the best photos
