Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This bridge is currently being renovated so much of its beauty is obscured. The lions that proudly guarded each end have been removed for safekeeping while the bridge itself is repaired and refinished.

During our recent visit to Budapest, this bridge was undergoing major renovation works and therefore it wasn’t possible to walk over it. In fact, a lot of the structure was concealed with hoardings and the like. Having visited Budapest before this is an iconic landmark and one which must not be missed once the works have been completed

If you visit Budapest, you should find 10 minutes to walk across the bridge. Amazing view of Buda and Pest.

Had really hoped to walk across this bridge as we missed out last time we were in Budapest, but it is closed for major repairs and restoration work. Probably will not be finished until mid 2023 according to some people we spoke to. Still it is a good excuse to go back.

Great place to be in the heat although limited sun beds and chairs so arrive early!

The bridge is currently closed to cars and pedestrians until Autumn 2023.

To get from Pest to Buda, I used the Red metro line instead of the bridges at either side, which would have added a mile to my walk.

Closed until 2023.
As another user stated it has been closed since June 2021.
No access and everything under covers and lots of scaffolding. Quite a few areas under construction until 2023 (150 year anniversary or something like that) so bear in mind before you travel here if it will affect you:
Gellerts hill cave. Elizabeth Lookout Tower. Seven places in Castle Hill. Citadella. Liberty statue etc
Chairlift is closed until 3.06.22 (from 01.05.22) still plenty to see though.

Was so looking forward to seeing it, having seen it feature in so many photos of Budapest... But it is currently closed and completely under cover for renovation.
