A bit of a hike to get there but a pleasant walk. The tour was well done and the place really is impressive. I just wish that we could have seen an opera or performance of some type while we were in a Budapest.

We had planned to visit the opera house and when we arrived, we were more than pleased with what we found. We had a look around the outside of the building and then in the entrance. We were so impressed with the architecture and atmosphere...More

They have tours in English that take you through this beautiful place, including the house bar which is magnificent and the Royal Box. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see a performance, but the tour was very interesting and informative.

Although we weren't able to watch a show during our stay, we had a guided tour of the opera house, which was informative and interesting. The building is breathtaking.

The opera house is beautiful and in great shape. We took a guided tour and got the history, a good look at things and a mini concert afterwards. Absolutely worth a visit if you find yourself in Budapest

Not aware of any construction. As another traveller says, the very impressive building opposite is covered in scaffolding and there may be confusion between the two.

Yes! no problem, but there are some steps up and down so bear that in mind. Not sure if you can take a pushchair to the tour....
