Don't miss this if you are at all interested in the art of the country, but this is not the usual collection of European old masters one normally sees in big city museums; it features instead local artists, most of whom you have probably never...More

The permanent exibition is really representative inside view into hungarian point of view. It's really Hungary and Hungarians with their own eyes and in the eyes of the others. Great place to understand hungarian mentality. Highly recommended!

Wonderful museum, filled with enormously talented painters I had never heard of. Both the building, its location and the paintings inside deserve a visit. Not to be missed!

The building and surroundings itself are a sight to see. There are some interesting Hungarian paintings especially from the 1800s. The gallery is huge and we could not see everything we wanted to due to getting tired.
