The area
Address
Neighbourhood: District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.

Although unique location and view far better than expected! Friendly staff, small menu but really good food. Prices absolutely fair for quality and location!

Beautiful landmark of Budapest
Jul 2021
The architecture and the decorations are amazing. Unfortunately, the area was closed when visited because of some 100 guys turning a movie, al day long.

Best Views of the City!
Nov 2020
We were a little hesitant at first if we'd get time to walk from Buda where we were staying as it looked a long way. The whole experience took about an hour to walk to, but there is an option to pay for a cable car that can take you up to the top once you've crossed the river.

We're so glad we did it! Some of the best views of Pest can be found here, and some wonderful statues, architecture and churches to see as well!

greast views

Beautiful view of Budapest while you enjoy the history of Hungary. The first King of Hungary, Stephen (Vajk) on his horse holding a cross. It doesn't get any more Hungarian than that. Area is beautifully restored and protected by police and cameras from any shady people ruining tourist's pictures. Must visit this part of Budapest. Definitely worth it to visit if you're in the area.

Look upon Pest
Jan 2020
Some of the best views of Pest can be found here, although it is also the most tourist saturated view in the city. Get here early or late, or when it snows and avoid the crowds.
