Great views of the city. Very pleasant atmosphere with music (street musicians). Great place for pictures with the church and parliament in the background.

Stunning Photos here and plenty of other things to see around it. We missed this the first time around and I would visit again. Very close the the Palace so do both in one hit!

Great view of Budapest from here. But the view of the building is more spectacular it's like a fairy tale castle. Definitely a must see. Plus a good little cafe up there to get a drink and ice cream from.

This place gets pretty crowded as the day progresses but it is well worth the visit. One gets a great view of the Pest side of the city and the Parliament Building. It is also just interesting to think about how the fishermen's guild was...More

A fantastic place to walk around as you visit the other sites in Buda. There is a terrace restaurant here that I can't remember the name of (reservations required) that provided us with the best gourmet Hungarian meal of our trip. If I can find...More

The Fisherman's Bastion is located at the Pest, or the hilly part of Budapest. It has a beautiful architecture and from here you will have the view of the whole city of Budapest

Concrete turrets lord over the quant hillside township of Buda. These architectural sentinels have withstood centuries of assault launched by human and nature alike. Today, tourists mill around the ramparts enjoying panoramic views of Pest across the mythic Danube. I overheard an apt comment by...More

The best view in Budapest? Certainly the best of our trip. Plus there's a cafe right on the rooftop which would be an excellent place for lunch (although we had already eaten)

Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a
glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian
empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the
time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many

You can walk around on your own. I'm not sure about tours available, but I saw a small building that was offering information. It was down the street from Matthias, and across the street from some restaurants.
