We loved the views from here, especially as we were there for dusk and we spent far longer than we planned. The trams and traffic cause quite a lot of vibration so in low light you need to get the centre section where it doesn't vibrate and cause the camera to shake quite as much

The bridge was renoveted two years ago, it has the original sculptures, original lighting again. You can use it to walk to the Margaret Island too.

One of the magnificent bridges connecting Pest and Buda, this has a slight bend, in the middle. The center is located on the southern tip of the Margit Island. Buses, cars, trams by hundreds cross it every day, and there is an own red path that can be used by bikes. After the Germans blew up the original bridge in... More

This bridge is one of my favourite as we live very near to it and use it ofet to visit Margaret Island. It is one of the longest as it has two purposes. One is to get across the Danube and one is to get into the Island and it has a little angle and not straight. The renovation took... More

One of the four main bridges connecting Pest to Buda, the Margaret is the most northern when viewing the city from central Pest. There is a lot of history surrounding the bridge, and it is the best access point to visit Margaret Island, which lies in the middle of the Danube - the boat tours were meant to circumnavigate the... Less ornate than the Chain Bridge, this connects Buda with Pest, as well as with Margaret Island. The interesting point about this particular bridge is that is has a slight bend in the river, meant to provide additional support due to the current of the river (so said our knowledgeable driver). The bridge is the best way to access Margaret... More

A great bridge to cross. There are walkers, cars and trams. Great environment and atmosphere and views well worth the walk across. Great picture opportunities. Margaret island is just off the bridge and there is only one way to it! Free to walk and therefore you could spend a few hours walking around Margaret island.

If youn want to get a view of everything in one panorama, doing it from the middle of the river is a good place. We took lots of photos from this locvation and enjoyed our visit.

Unless walking to Margaret Island, you will not normally cross this bridge. With the Erzebet Bridge, Chain Bridge, and Szabadsag Bridge, how many bridges do you need to cross. But if you must, take number 2 tram that runs along the Danube, (by the Marriott) to the last stop or metro Nyugati Palyaudvar stop and walk along St. Stephen Krt.... More

The prettiest bridge over the Danube River, in my opinion. Great for a walk, or bike riding. Of course it's also good for driving, but I believe that, outside of a car you enjoy the view more than inside.
