I booked 2 tours through Orsolya at the last minute for a weekend in Feb 2017. She organised a custom tour of the countryside (Benedictine Abbey, Esterhazy Palace and town of Sopron) and a city tour of Budapest with guide and driver on the second day. Orsolya was so accommodating and organised and came up with some great ideas for... More

Our group of six people arranged for a custom tour with Orsolya. She suggested that we combine the highlights of her walking tour with the best sights from her driving tour. As we were there during January and it was very cold, we thought that was a good idea so we wouldn't be outside for 4 or 5 hours. Orsolya... More

We had the extreme pleasure of having Orsolya take us on a half day walking tour on Christmas Eve. Christmas Eve is a huge day of celebration in Hungary, so we were incredibly fortunate that Orsolya took time out of her busy day to show us Budapest. She is incredibly knowledgable, warm, and funny. Her love of Budapest is quite... More

My wife and I, along with two good friends, spent two days in Budapest at the end of a Tauck River tour from Amsterdam. We had never been to Budapest so, of course, wanted to see the highlights of the city. However, because it was the end of a 15-day excursion and we, being our 70's did not have a... More

I arranged a walking tour with Orsolya (our wonderful tour guide) with my wife and her family. It was all very easy and fun. Orsolya picked us up from our hotel and we spent the next several hours walking at her direction. We had no real concept of the sights of Budapest so were happy to just to leave it... More

Orsolya did a fantastic job of showing our family of 4 around during our one day in Budapest. She took us to both historic highlights and some hidden gems such as a local market, hidden coffee cafe, chocolate shop, and wonderful wine store. We were surprised by how good the local wine was and we are a bit snobby when... More

We arranged a walking tour through Orsolya's website. She arranged for Judit to guide us. Judit is very pleasant to be around with. And she was also great with our kids. Judit took us along some of the tourist attractions for a couple of hours. She then arranged a very nice restaurant. In the afternoon she introduced us to some... More

I had a day and a half in Budapest -- and wanted to see all that I could. This was fabulous -- we combined walking with driving -- This gave me the ability to see and experience this amazing city. Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
