Don't go, this shop is closed! We took a really long walk to get there, and it was closed because of renovations. Nobody said so inhere, so I think it's important to point out

If someone recommends Book Cafe – Lotz Terem to you, they're probably not doing so because of the food; it's very pricey and doesn't really live up to expectation. The recommendation will be based on the beauty of the venue – an experience that will...More

Honestly, this was one of those literally hidden gems I used to send friends to. When you go through a modern-neon lights kind of book shop and up the staires this breathtaking room greets you that no picture do justice for, with live piano music...More

Lotz Hall was a great café with a breathtakingly beautiful interior that I enjoyed taking foreign friends to. Staff occasionally had their bad days, but that's just Hungary for you and it was nothing egregious. However it has closed recently due to the bankruptcy of...More

We popped in on recommendation... did it disappoint.... No! Live pianist, stunning room, architecture was amazing and the art work was incredible. Looking past the room you have ok cakes and normal tea's and coffee. The staff's service was nothing special either. The cafés pricing...More

We came because of good reviews. The space is beautiful. But the service killed it. What a pity... such a beautiful coffee house but bad service.

An amazing place in Budapest - been here so long ago and kept telling people it exists, but couldn't actually remember where it was. Now I know. Good coffee, amazing cakes and grand piano - seriously, don't miss it!

I was not expecting such a nice cafe in a book store and the Sacher Cake was one of the best one among the cakes I tried in Budapest. I recommend.

Hidden above the Alexandra book shop, this cafe is warm and inviting with the most spectacular of architecture. The high, painted ceilings are magnificent. Loads of tables with a good varied menu on hot and cold drinks, snacks and cake. We had the Ginger Hot...More

Yes, you can park on the main streets, but it is not free, or you can find a parking garden in Nagymező street (between Király utca and Andrássy út) or in Mozsár street. Don't worry in this zone you always find a parking... More
