The capital city of Hungary is likely to amaze or even dazzle you.Once you have got to know the city you will see that it still is a real traveller's treat and "breath of fresh air" among other European capitals more in demand. A foreign friend of mine can hardly believe how underrated this city still is, so she has become an ardent "advertiser" of the Budapest overseas. As for the personalized walks offered to my visitors;I have opted for organizing highly personalized sightseeing tours. While the routes may also lead to well-known sights or "Unesco World Heritage Sites", they may eventually venture into areas located off-the-beaten path - just to give you a chance to glimpse behind the touristic scene. The walks are thus tailored to your interests and needs which are discussed in detail before your arrival via e-mail. The walks enable you to gain insight into everyday life, the arts, architecture, cuisine and history of Budapest or any aspect of the city you may be interested. You will be able to explore the most authentic aspects of Budapest, as if shown around by a local friend.Besides English, guiding is available in Italian and Spanish.Welcome to Budapest and have an enjoyable stay.

Recently I was traveling in Budapest with some friends and we had the distinct pleasure of having Andras Urszan as our personal walking tour guide for a day. Not only was Andras a joy to get to know, he was extremely knowledgable about the sites, culture and rich history of Budapest, and Hungary as a nation. While we walked and... More

Andras Urszan is an superb and delightful guide. He showed me, my sister and my friend around Budapest in a most unassuming and comfortable manner. He knows every detail of the history of the city and it's beautiful architecture. He adds bit of folk lore and political history, which made it so much more interesting. Andras was able to understand... More

Andras recently showed me several neighborhoods in Budapest with the aim towards showcasing the incredible art noveau architecture there. We took a relaxed time about it, even had lunch together. At the tour's end I felt like I had a new friend! I highly recommend Andras.

My wife and I spent 3 days with Andras during our recent stay in Budapest. We enjoyed every minute we spent touring the city with Andras as well as a full day visit to Eger to sample the great Hungarian wines. He went out of his way to help us with itinerary suggestions before our arrival and with a train... More

Andras is the best guide there is. The perfect person to show you Budapest. His warm demeanor made us feel like we were meeting a friend. My husband and I had three days of touring our first trip to Budapest, and when we returned to Budapest we toured with him again. He gave us such an insight to not only... More

We loved Budapest and were completely blown away by its awesomeness. What a beautiful and exciting city – great people, great sights, great food in atmosphere cafes. We have Andras to thank for making our visit to Budapest such a memorable experience. We spent a day and a half seeing the city with him, and we had the greatest time.... More

I recently visited Budapest with my wife and some friends, and took an afternoon tour of Buda with András. As most other people have noted, he is very knowledgeable and informed and speaks English like an Englishman. He answered all of our questions and discussed at length with us about the political changes in Hungary over the past 50 years.... More

Andras Urszan gave my spouse and I a private tour over three days and was terrific. We learned so much more than we would have with headsets or on canned tours. For us, going off the well travelled paths made Budapest even more interesting. We walked for many hours a day (our choice) and Andras was always flexible to our... More

My suggestion is to contact a walking, informative tour company ( Budapest Essence and Andras Urszan are highly recommended) when first coming to Budapest. Having an overview of Budapest and Hungarian history and current affairs allows you to hone in on your interest areas (museums, design, culinary, architecture etc.) in a more sensical way. Andras was the complete guide with an extensive knowledge... More

Our guide Andras was excellent and we had an amazing tour. I had really good professional communication with Andras prior to our visit and he advised us to do some things before our tour on Sunday morning. Andras showed us so many historical buildings that we would have missed on our own. He gave us so much information about Budapest... More
