Budapest city tour with Balasz

Fab experience. Our guide was well prepared and attentive. He went out of his way of his busy schedule to assist us return to our hotel on time. His English is excellent, too.

Was in Budapest and was looking around getyourguides for a airport transfer when I came across Cityrama and their Trabant shuttle service, which seemed right up my street and booked it straight away. Car with guide was waiting for me right on time, and soon we were off through the city to the airport. Not super uncomfortable, but can be... More

I really can't rate this firm highly enough. Even after I messed up our hotel pick up, Cityrama went out of their way to get us on the next tour. The ladies in the office were all really friendly and polite and our guide Richard was very knowledgeable and obviously very proud of his country. This is a great tour... More

We have appreciated the experience and historical knowledge of the city of our guide Vera, she succeeded in a short time to communicate her love of the city and the local culture of the Hungarians! Jean-Paul Beloeil, Que, Can.

We booked the 5-hour private tour from the hotel. We really enjoy this trip. And we'd like to give our special thanks to Gyorgy, he is very patient and funny. We wanted to visit the Listz Academy of Arts, and he patiently planned the route for us which saves a lot of time and avoids many traffic. With his sufficient... More

I went on the Danube Bend Tour with an excellent guide Gyuri. The 9 hour day was great, Gyuri gave us a lot of information and as we were a small group of 7 the spirit was very relaxed and interactive. We stopped at magnificent view-points and visited the three towns in the program all with their distinct characters. The... More

Budai Miklos, "Miki," was a great guide for our private tour of Budapest. He arrived at our hotel with a van to accommodate our group of six. He shared a lot of history about the region and the local economy as he was showing us around. He was very knowledgeable and told some good stories along the way. Miki contributed... More

Bala'zs Levay was a wonderful guide. His positive energy and knowledge made our private Trabant City Tour a highlight of our trip to Budapest. He was punctual picking us up at our apartment hotel. He done a detailed tutorial of trabant and then an interesting tour of the City Highlights. I highly recommend Cityrama Sightseeing tours and ask for Bala'za!

This tour leader was hard to understand and she spoke too quickly. Our tour got cut short by an hour as 6 out of 9 people misunderstood her so we didn't get to see the last two sights and bus driver spoke no English at all and drove away with these 6 people on board us included.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
