National Library is a very original building in the outside, and it looks functional inside, as a library should be. Ticket allows you to visit the big stair hall and a couple of rooms (a study room and a exhibition room). To be honest, there...More

Tourist can look for books written in Slovenian language. But you can watch so beautiful architecture from Jože Plečnik. It is great to see from outside and to read something about it but not to gop inside.

One of the great buildings by the Slovenian architects Plečnik. The library has a very characteristic façade of brick and stone blocks. And do have a look at the very cool horse-head doorknobs of the main door. Entrance to the reading room is only possible...More

This library building has brickwork that almost resembles braille, and inside the lobby and staircase are lovely. Not much to see except books beyond that, and only library card holders are allowed to the upper levels. But still interesting to look at.

You should go and see this building! A prior review said you had to be a student to enter the reading room. I'm not sure about during the weekdays, but we went on a Saturday, and the reading room was open to us from 2:30pm...More

This building was designed by the famous Slovenian architect, Jože Plečnik who also designed the triple bridge. The exterior is unique with its orange and grey random patterns, protruding bricks and windows. The interior staircase and columns are likewise impressive but you cannot get into...More

The ideas and history behind this unique architecture are interesting, but not much to do inside as a tourist. I first visited the outside with the walking tour group and the next day i decided to go in. The hallway was pretty cool. You can...More

Impressive hallway but that’s about all we got to see for our entrance price of €10.... The building’s architecture was clearly amazing but we couldn’t help but feel a bit ripped off for our weekday visit given the fact we didn’t see much of it....More
