The bridge is ok. It is a Plecnik's work therefore it is aplace not to ignore. Historical place which was the the place to avoid taxes. Take a picture and go to other sites.

One of many bridges over Ljubljanica river and its Canal, this one being in the south part of the Canal and providing some great photo opportunities.

Shoemaker's Bridge is one of the oldest bridges in Ljubljana dating back to the thirteenth century crossing over the Ljubljanica River. Back then it was a wooden with butcher shops on it but the Emperor had them moved and they were replaced by shoemakers/cobblers stalls....More

Apparently cobblers would sell shoes right on the bridge to avoid paying taxes in the old days. Probably would not work today!

This bridge was planned by Plecnik and originally housed butchers but because of the smells it became a haven for cobblers, hence the name! Great spot over the canal!

This is a neat bridge with lots of stonework. Worth a quick walk to and over as you look for a place for a bite and a drink.

Another look at Plecnik's work. Simple and very pretty. Good spot to relax and people watch. Not a must see, however, why not? A nice look on the canal.
