Located at the edge of retail and the edge of residential, the church provides a nice segue between the two different land uses. We peaked in briefly but as they were celebrating mass, we opted for only a short stay. Very nice interior even as...More

How fortunate that we had a few minutes to use before our dinner in that area of town. We visited the church at dusk and the steeple outside was gleaming against a darker sky. The entry to this church had the sun hitting the precipice,...More

This church isn't in the greatest state of repair, but is well worth seeking out as it has some very nice - if simple - stained glass and the ceiling frescoes are good to view. The yellow outside with the white relief carvings make it...More

Church is a mixture of stiles. Medieval part of building nearly disappeared. Church is Baroque structure with many fine altars. Main altar is work of Francesco Robba. Side chapel with stucco work and many sculptures is also interesting. Paintings don’t have the same quality. From...More

St James Church is located just outside the Old Town and is visible from the River. I visited a couple of times and, although the interior was locked and in darkness both times, I was able to peer through a glass door, which let in...More

This is another lovingly restored baroque church, located some distance from the old town. The exterior is quite attractive with distinctive yellow paint. The interior fairly typical of other churches of this style.

It is a bit away from the main tourist area and so less busy, at least when we went. At first sight it looks like you can only see the interior through the glass door, but when we tried the doors it was possible to...More

It is situated in the old town, on the opposite side of pedestrian area from the Tripple bridge. It looks lovely inside too, although we could not enter it. The only way to see it was through the iron bars at the doors.
