Had a really superb time walking through the gorge. Breathtaking! Not expensive either. The only down side is the large amount of logs that have come to a sorry end by the dam wall. Would be nice if they could be cleared away

This short little trail was truly amazing! we arrived early when they have just opened, and were practically alone there. The gorge is beautiful! Don't miss out (take into account that in the summer months it's probably packed)

Plenty of parking! When we were leaving however (around 11am) the lot was pretty full... get there early (beat the crowds too)
Hi! We will be driving from Bled into Austria, but would like to stop at the Vintgar Gorge in the early afternoon. It will be in late August, about the 27th. Can we spect large crowds at that time? Do we need to buy tickets in advance? Thank you for your help!

We went first thing in the morning to avoid crowds/ we were there when it opened and saw maybe 4 other couples on our way back out... basically had the place to ourselves- gorgeous !!! Small ticket booth at the entrance
Hi, cjsweetcandy. What would you like to know about this attraction? Do you know IF Vintgar Gorge will be opened by the end of May? Looking to going there then. Also, do you think it's possible to do both the gorge and the castle in one day? I'm thinking of going by bus from Ljubljana .... hope that's not an unwise decision? I hope everything is well sign posted in English hahaha Thank you
