We went later in the day and although we passed a number of people coming back we had plenty of room to enjoy the views and take photographs. The walk down is easy but at times the planks felt a little loose underfoot! When we...More

Fascinating and beautiful place! Well worth a visit. We had expected it to be more touristy, but in June it was not too busy.

Place was worth to visit because of nature. Still there was many tourist on the bath. It takes us totally four hours walk from bled, goes around the Vintgar and walk back and stop eating on the way.

Plenty of parking! When we were leaving however (around 11am) the lot was pretty full... get there early (beat the crowds too)
Hi! We will be driving from Bled into Austria, but would like to stop at the Vintgar Gorge in the early afternoon. It will be in late August, about the 27th. Can we spect large crowds at that time? Do we need to buy tickets in advance? Thank you for your help!

Hi, cjsweetcandy. What would you like to know about this attraction? Do you know IF Vintgar Gorge will be opened by the end of May? Looking to going there then. Also, do you think it's possible to do both the gorge and the castle in one day? I'm thinking of going by bus from Ljubljana .... hope that's not an unwise decision? I hope everything is well sign posted in English hahaha Thank you
